Ch. 15 : Officially Boyfriend

"Good morning, Ma! Good morning, Sweet Bun!"

"Morning, Mew! Come sit over here!"

"Good morning, Phi!"

"Mew, black coffee again? You didn't sleep last night, did you?", Mama looks at her son suspiciously.

"There's something I have to do, Ma..."

"Tsk! Tsk! Like father like son. You guys are always busy and making someone important waiting too long...", she satirizes him.

"Ma-"

"Gulf, wait here a moment, okay? I will go taking more cookies for you..."

"You don't have to, Ma. I can take it myself..."

"No, it's okay, Sweetheart. I also want to check the kitchen..."

"Ohh, okay..."

Mama taps her first son's shoulder before she leaves. Mew exactly knows what his mother trying to do. But, the atmosphere is getting awkward again. Both of them want to say something to each other yet don't know how to start it. They end up calling each other at the same time. Both are surprised and just laugh it out.

"You first, Sweet Bun..."

"No, no! You first..."

"Sweet Bun~"

"Phi~", Mew chuckles.

"Okay, I speak first. Mmmm... Can I ask you something?"

"About?"

"Yesterday..."

"Ohhh, okay! What do you want to know?"

"Please don't get me wrong! But I'm very curious about this..."

"Just say it, Phi. I won't be mad..."

"Who are you actually, Sweet Bun?", Gulf bursts out laughing.

"Who am I? I'm Gulfian, of course! Who else I can be? What a silly question of yours! Hahaha!"

"No, I mean how could you do all those in that under-pressure situation?", the younger chuckles.

"Why? Are you doubting your people's ability right now?"

"Of course, no! But, your skills are truly extraordinary. It makes me wonder who you really are..."

"You're really a straightforward type, huh? But, okay! I'll answer your question. Just like what you said to me. Some sheets of paper about me can't tell you the whole story. All started when my big brother was in relationship with my brother-in-law. They hadn't married at that time, but his family really welcomed us. We got a new family since then. Even his big family accepted us. Every week, they invited us to join them playing..."

"Didn't your brother-in-law stay in China?"

"At that time, he studied in South Korea. So did some of his cousins. I can skip their love story part, right? It'll be soooo long..."

"My brother-in-law and his cousins like sports very much. Paintball, shooting, archery. They tried everything. But, they really love paintball. We played it every week. So, I'm used to dodging shots..."

"About us...", Mew gulps.

"Nunew told me everything yesterday. About you receiving more and more threats. Sigh... Why is it so hard for us to be together? I already have my answer though...", he gasps.
