The car has gone half way safely. Or maybe they haven't found the hardest part yet. But, so far, everything goes as planned. Cardiac arrest also haven't occured. Hopefully will be like that for the rest of their way.
"dr. Gulfian, will we make it?"
"I'm not sure, Khun Park. For now, it's better for us to focus on keeping his condition stable. You should contact his family too when the signal is available.", Park nods.
This is only a half of the way, but it already took 2 hours. Gulf really can't speed up the car. It will sway too much. However, what he is afraid of really happens.
"Gup, cardiac arrest!", he stops the car.
The cardiologist immediately performs CPR. His heartbeat hasn't returned yet. He keep repeating it until the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) shows a signal.
"Everyone, keep your distance from the stretcher!"
Shock!
After a moment, Gulf continues the CPR. Finally, the heartbeat is back. He sighs in relief. He then checks Nunew's condition before continuing their journey.
"Gup, how is he?"
"His heartbeat is back. And, it's back to normal too."
"It's a... good sign, right?"
"We shouldn't be too sure, Mix. Sometimes it's like calm before storm. We have to keep our eyes on him. You all have done a great job so far. Keep your good work until we move him to the hospital!"
Their journey continues. After one hour of driving, they reach the end of the track and come out from forest. Finally, it's the main road already. However, they are shocked to see how is the condition of the town. Buildings around the road are collapsed. The streets are very chaotic. Many cars crash into other cars or walls. In fact, many cars are also hit by trees and electric poles. Fires everywhere.
"HELPPPP!! HELPPPPPPP!!!"
Someone from nowhere suddenly bangs on their car window. Another one comes from another direction. Gulf frowns. He gets a bad feeling about this.
"Gup...", Mix says with a pale face.
"I know, Mix. Hang on, everyone! We will speed up a bit."
Mix, Wan, and Tul hold the stretchers tighter. They move away from there. Gulf looks at those people from rear-view mirror. His feeling is right. They have bad intention. Their gazes are so vicious.
Drttttt!!!
"Hello... P'Max? P'Maxxx! Hueeee!!!"
"..."
"I... Sobs... I'm alright... Sobs... B-But... Jelly... Hueeeeeee!!"
"..."
"P-P'Park... Sobs... P'Max...", he passes his phone.
