Ch. 16 : Escape

"Who are you?"

"Take a guess!"

"I have no time for that. Who are you?"

"I thought you're looking for me.", his eyes widen.

"Red Phoenix?"

"I'm calling just to let you know that we're completely fine and will appear when the time comes. So, I hope you stop looking for us."

"If I may know, why?"

"Now is not the time for us to show up. We are waiting them to bite our bait."

"Oh, I see."

"And, I'm sorry that the rumors about the chip put you and your family in danger. Even your boyfriend too."

"Don't worry. I understood."

"Please send my regards to your parents and tell them to not worry about us. We're in a safe place now."

"I will."

"Thank you."

"By any chance, are your people watching us all this time? Including in the hospital?"

"Yes. To make sure the success of our plan and safety of the people involved in this matter, we must do this. I hope you understand."

"It's okay. I understood. Instead, I should be the one thanking you because your people have saved us twice."

"No need to thank. This is our responsibility. After all, we are family. Families must protect each other."

"Sorry, but I got to go now.", Mew says when Gulf comes out from bedroom.

"Okay."

"So, I can contact you at this number, right?"

"Yes."

"Okay. See you then."

"See you."

The phone call ends. Mew immediately smiles as soon as he keeps his phone. His Sweet Bun stares at him confusedly because the latter looked so serious earlier. But, he doesn't ask anything though. He understands. It might be work.

Mew and Max have been really busy with their job lately. They hardly come home at all these three weeks. Their parents also have business trip abroad. Only the youngest son remains at home. Since Nunew feels lonely at home, he invites Gulf to stay with him until his parents are back.

Knock! Knock, knock, knock! Knock!

A happy young man knocks the guest bedroom with a rhythm, just like in the cartoon he has watched. He is very excited today. He and Gulf will prepare new menu for the cafe since Valentine's Day is coming. The young doctor comes out of his room. They go to the cake ingredients shop afterwards.

After thirty minutes drive, they arrive at the destination. The two immediately go around looking for the ingredients needed. To be honest, it is really hard to not attract attention as they are followed by 8 bodyguards. Since the incident at the gym building, Mew orders more bodyguards to guard them, especially in public places. This doesn't include the mother's bodyguard who specifically watches over Gulf from afar.

"Phi, can we go have lunch first before going home? I am very hungry..."

"I'm hungry too. Let's go!"

They go to the nearest restaurant. Both are ordering their lunch. After their orders are placed, something catches Gulf's attention. The bodyguards notice this too, but the doctor stops them as he doesn't want to cause any scene here. A group of young men keeps looking at Nunew. They seem to like his little brother. Gulf is just silent until one of them tries to have conversation. Just information, their tables are opposite each other and not too far away.
