Ch. 30 : Unromantic First Kiss

"Fuck! Why is this ship suddenly not working?!"

"I'll check other ship!", Mew says.

They try all the ships but none of them is working. The engine won't start even though the fuel is still full. They are really frustrated now. Then, they realize that this might be Gulf's doing.

"Fort, can you hear me?"

"Yes, Uncle Earth?"

"All ships suddenly aren't working. Looks like Gulf did this. Can you do something with these ships?"

"One moment, Uncle!"

Fort checks the system. It's true that all the ships are locked now. It can't be used until the system is unlocked. The young boy tries his best to help. He taps something on the tablet. However, the screen shows 'Access Denied' a moment later. He frowns.

"Bubu, start the ship!"

"Access denied."

"Why, Bubu?!"

"Uncle's orders cannot be canceled or changed without Uncle's approval."

"Tsk! But, I'm your boss, Bubu!"

"I'm sorry, Bibi. This is an order."

"Connect me to uncle!"

"Uncle can't be disturbed."

"Bubu, listen to me! I'm your boss and he is my uncle. At least, show me his condition right now!"

"Access denied."

"Why?!"

"Uncle's whereabouts and condition are top secret."

"Oh, gosh! This is frustrating!"

Earth and Mew chuckle. They are just as frustrated as Fort. A moment later, they see few jet skis parked at the end of the pier. They immediately rush there. Luckily, the jet ski can be started. Earth, Mew, and all their bodyguards are ready to leave. But, Fort stops them.

"Uncle, don't go there!", they frown.

"Why, Fort?"

"Bubu just activated attack mode, Uncle Earth. In five minute, dozens of missiles will be launched towards that area. You could get hurt if you go there..."

"What on earth are you talking about, Fort?! Gulf is still there! He could die! Cancel that order!"

"I'm sorry, Uncle Mew. But this is an order made directly by Uncle Gulf. I can't cancel or change it without Uncle Gulf's approval. This stingy bubu doesn't want to cooperate with us..."

"Then, we have to go there and bring him back!"

"Five minutes isn't enough to get there, Uncle. You'll only end up getting hurt by the explosion..."

"Fort, are you sure Uncle Gulf ordered this?"

"Yes, Uncle Earth! Bubu only recognizes me and Uncle Gulf. No one else can use it. Bubu even could distinguish our original voices from imitations voices. So, it's impossible for anyone else could use it...", Earth sighs heavily.

"We're going back to the bunker now."

"Earth, your little brother is still out there!"

"You don't know him well enough, Mew. He is not an ordinary person. We are feared because of our strength, but we are more afraid of him. He is much smarter and stronger. He's a complete package. If he ordered this, it meant he already had a plan. Aren't you the one who told me to trust him?"
