I was getting stronger, faster and more threatening by the time we reached the west of the country. My arms were well muscles, my senses sharper I could fight with sword, arrow, claw, teeth. I finally felt as though I deserved to be called Queen. Travelling the realm had opened my eyes to the bigger picture, their strength and resilience became my strength and resilience.

Where we went there were lycans but they fell to their knees the  moment my gifts touched them. With Dale I had thought that there would be no way of harnessing my heeling powers but Kione had been there to teach me. I had grown as a wolf, a person but most importantly as  a leader. The King was falling back, he had summoned us to pick a date to begin this war.

He wanted to end it, fast.

He was getting weaker and weaker, while I grew stronger and if we didn't fight soon we would both lose. He would lose his hold on the part of me he had taken and it would run loose meaning neither of us would possess it. Alora had also grown, she got bigger with each passing and more of her became prevalent in my own thoughts. Our party had started off with seven of us but had now swelled to over fifty. Alphas had offered us men and women, some had left their packs to offer us information.

Each of them had become my family, they trained me with new wisdom. They told me about the advances of the King, his experimentation was taking a dark turn he was getting desperate and now his creations were more monstrous. He kept them in the capital striking fear into the citizens of Krysta. He poisoned those who opposed him, kidnapped the children of Alphas nearby who wanted to take a stand.

What was worse was the monster he had turned my brother into, He rode through the towns releasing Lycans to test their ability. He pillaged small towns capturing their men and torturing their woman until they submitted to his will. Marcus had always been a great warrior but this was something else, something evil.

My mind often turned to my mother, we were nearing the west and soon we would border the outskirts of Arcadia but I had not yet made up my mind. I desperately wanted to see her again but I kept holding on to the fear that she would hurt me again. I wouldn't be able to forgive her if she did.

"May I come in?" a gently voice asked from outside the tent I was currently occupying

"Of course" I uttered watching as the folds were pushed aside by Kione, she had regained much of her strength once we had begun the journey.

Her eyes still held a little darkness from her loss but it was well hidden by the serene expression she often sported. Like me and many of the women in our camp, she was dressed comfortably in mens clothing, her usually free mane of coiled hair was pulled back out of her face. Her eyes swept over the tent, there were letters every where. It seemed that I had suddenly taken on a much more political role, many Alpha's contacted me with certain requests it seemed the Lycan problem was much more widespread than we had first assumed.

She sat down on the floor next to me, wordlessly lifting one of the letters and reading over it before she put it down in the corner. I was mesmerised by her golden eyes, they were truly beautiful, swirling with wisdom that could only be outshone by the Goddess herself. Sometimes they clouded and she was would see visions from the far future, it was in those times that Kione had to be left alone, often what she saw did not please her and trying to talk to her often yielded in some rather dangerous results.
