RECAP Skip if you don’t need it(It was a request and this is a one off I’m way too exhausted and I’m really bad at this)
After spending years locked in a tower Mia’s father the King has her released to send her to the dreamed Red Moon Pack in the region of Lorenae. She expects the worse because Alpha Pietro has an ugly reputation but when she arrives she finds that unlike her home city, the fact that she is a Princess with no wolf doesn’t bother anyone. Kai the white wolf expresses interest in her when he steps up to her but in the end it is her brother Dale who picks her as his mate. Dale is a healer and in many ways heals her, helping her to accept herself and come to terms with the fact that she does not need a wolf to be loved. She regains some confidence renaming herself Izarra. Dale and her end up with an adored daughter Cara when Cara’s mother Hera dies from a terminal illness, this happens after Cara disappears into the forest Hera who was negative towards Izarra asks for her help in getting Cara back. Izarra helps only to run into a red wolf one that later haunts her dreams. The red wolf then attacks on Solstice causing Tatiana the mate of Kai to lose her pregnancy and also she injures Izarra and violates her dreams. Petri reveals to Izarra her true identity as the black wolf and also tells her about her Father (the king), who stole her wolf from her using dark magic. Izarra and Dale finally mate, after which they all have to leave as the King demands his daughter back. Along with Kai, Cara and others they leave the pack, shortly after which they encounter the King’s men, one of which Izarra nearly kills. Pietro dies after, something which is felt my by his sons and their mates. They continue their travels coming to the riverbanks, which Cullen (Izarra’s ex fiancé) is the Alpha was. He grants them refuge and finds his true mate in the form of Tatiana. (I’m shopping there because I need to sleep like now and that’s pretty much what happened last chapter)
Kai’s body was heavy his entire weight pressed on me as he took in one raspy breath after the other. I knew that I should have started trying to move but I couldn’t, all I could think of was the brushing of his lips against mine. It had been a fleeting kiss but it was a kiss nonetheless and it left me in shock. A small fire crackled over my lips as if to remind me that bit had indeed happened and it wasn’t just a strange dream.
I could feel the breath whooshing out from me as his body got heavier and heavier. I pulled my hands out and placed it against his chest ready to push him off. I paused as I felt his heart raging in his chest against my hand, his breath pushed against my chest bringing my attention to my task once again. I pushed was hard as I could but he wouldn’t budge, Kai’s frame was always large but with him unconscious he wasn’t carrying any of it and it was all squashing me.
I pushed once more trying my luck but it was no use, I pushed my hands away sighing as I felt more oxygen running out of me in a stream. Kai’s position was diagonal over me and so his chest lay over mine, his muscle mass pushing my breath out. I could feel my eyes glazing over as my own unconsciousness began slip away. As I imagined the scene in the room, a small gasped chuckle left me. Anyone who walked into the room would be shocked three unconscious bodies on the floor, in the most questionable of positions. I wriggled myself but found that I was becoming less aware and so my movements weren’t having the effect that I’d been wishing for. Taking the largest breath that I could once again attempted to shuffle away but already my eyes began to betray me, my dizziness blowing in full blown exhaustion. I stopped realising it would be better to save my energy and breath, Dale would wake up soon I could hear his breathing pick up as his body slowly wakened. With that assurance in my mind I let myself drift away into much needed slumber, allowing Kai’s heat to engulf me as I gave in.
