Nightmares

When it comes to being a demigod there are a lot of bad things that can happen. To me the worst of them, next to the monster attacks, were the constant nightmares that haunted me almost every night. The bad thing about these dreams is that most of them come true or that they are one possible outcome of a situation. And that's what scared me.

That's how it happened this night too. I woke up drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. I slowly sat up and wiped my hand across my forehead.

Since we were currently on our quest and travelling on the Argo II I could hear the sound of waves from the outside what calmed me. I knew that I wouldn't be able to sleep after this nightmare so I got out of my bed.
As soon as my bare feet touched the ground I shivered. At night it always got very cold on the ship. There was only one place on the whole ship were I knew I would be warm so I decided to go there.

As I opened the door of my room I tried to do it as quiet as possible because I didn't want Hedge to hear me. Luckily Leos room was just across from mine so I didn't have to go to the other end of the ship. I didn't knock when I approached his door because I suspected that he was already asleep. And I saw that I was right when I quickly stepped into his room. I closed the wooden door  behind me, walked closer to his bed and kneeled down next to him.
"Wake up, Leo.", I whispered softly and started to lightly shake his shoulders. He started to stir and slowly opened his eyes. "What's wrong? Is everything okay?", he asked concerned and slowly sat up. As he did so a part of his blanket fell down to reveal his bare chest. The sight made me blush and I tried not to show it so I quickly shook my head: "No, everything's okay. I just had a nightmare and couldn't fall back asleep.". Leo lightly smiled and lied back down on his back: "Come here.", he muttered and opened his arms.
I smiled, lifted the blanket and laid down. Leo wrapped his arms around me and softly kissed my lips. I laid my head onto his chest and one of my legs on his own. His chest rose and fell as he breathed. I became more and more tired until I finally fell asleep.

Even though coach hedge wasn't very happy about us sleeping together it was definitely worth it.
