Leo Valdez x reader oneshots

Who's stronger?

This one is just a small funny story and I'm not sure what to think of it.

"It's way to quiet, isn't it?", I whispered. "Yeah.", Annabeth nodded and looked around the room in suspicion.

"Where did they go?" "I don't know. They said they would be back right away, didn't they?", she said, starting to worry. "Yeah, that's what they said.", I replied, looking at the door of the Poseidon cabin.

About ten minutes ago our boyfriends told us they wanted to try something. And of course we were suspicious from the start.
We knew that Leo and Percy were both troublemakers but when they were together no one was safe anymore.

Annabeth and I gazed at each other and came to a silent agreement. We stood up and rushed to the door. As soon as I stepped outside, I could already hear a group of campers shouting in excitement, surrounding a spot on the beach.
Annabeth and I looked at each other questioningly and instantly jogged to the crowd and made our way through. When we were finally able to see the both of them, I stopped dead in my tracks, taking in the scene in front of me.

Percy and Leo were facing each other, floating closely above the ground. Percy was surrounded by a wall of fire, actively firing water against it. I could see sweat dripping down his forehead but he looked determined.
Leo on the other hand had the same look in his eyes but he was rounded by water and he was also shooting fire from his hands.

Annabeth and I looked at each other in shock, not sure what to do against their competition. "We have to distract them from their powers.", Annabeth shouted over the applause of the campers. I nodded in response and we each stepped closer to our boyfriends.
Sharing a last glance of agreement, I yelled: "LEO!", while Annabeth shouted Percy's name.

For a brief moment they weren't paying attention to what they were doing and looked in our direction. That was enough for the walls around them to break down.
Exhausted, they both slumped to the ground. I caught him just before he completely fell on the sand. Kneeling down beside him, I placed his face in my hands and lightly hit his cheek. Soon he started to groan and his eyes opened slowly.

He gazed up to my face and a nervous look crossed his features. "Hey there my love.", he said hesitantly while slowly sitting up. I crossed my arms in front of my chest and raised an eyebrow. Standing up, I grabbed his hand and dragged him back to the Poseidon cabin, Annabeth and Percy following close behind.

When the boys were sat on the bed, we stood in in front of, arms crossed and a judging look on our faces. Leo and Percy seemed to shrink each second.
"What did you think you were doing?", Annabeth asked, trying to stay calm. Percy swallowed and looked at Leo for some support but my boyfriend kept his gaze on the floor.
"We- We just wanted to-", he mumbled the rest. I frowned and asked again: "What did you want to do?" "Find out who's the strongest.", Percy said quietly. I rolled my eyes and Annabeth did the same.
"You could have killed each other, do you know that?!", I said, my tone increasing and the boys flinched a little. "How are we not able to leave you two alone for just a few minutes?". "Yeah! You guys are almost adults.", Annabeth agreed frustrated.

"Sorry.", Percy mumbled, his head hanging low.
"Leo?", I asked, trying to get the attention of my boyfriend who hadn't said a word since coming to the cabin. "Sorry", he muttered.

"How about we go outside?", Annabeth asked, turning to face me. I nodded in response and together we walked to the door of the cabin. I could hear the two boys stand up, the bed creaking, and following us outside.
We just arrived at the beach when a hand on my arm held me back from walking. "Can we talk?", Leo asked, looking at me with his warm brown eyes.
Annabeth nodded when I gazed at her questioningly and they walked further, leaving us behind.

I turned to face him and saw how he hung his head low, curls falling in front of his face. "Everything alright?", I asked, worrying if he had been hurt durning the duel. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just wanted to apologise again.".
He looked at me with sad eyes, thinking I'd be angry at him. But I just chuckled and said: "It's okay. We were only a bit shocked. Just please don't do anything dumb like that again.". Leo nodded and took on of my hand in his, intertwining our fingers "I promise." I smiled at him and softly pecked his cheek, making him blush.
Swinging our hands between us, we continued our walk along the beach.
