Everything was good during the following days. Until an hour ago when I got a call that Bucky has been arrested for missing his court mandatory therapy session/check-in today.

His appointment was 4 hours ago and he left to go there. He told me he was going there, but he went to find Sam. He lied to me and now he needs me to bail him out.

I'm furious. So, I take my sweet time to get there, letting him wait. Sam is the first person I meet outside the station.

"He can explain--" he speaks

"No, he can't" I cut him off.

I walk passed him and I ask to see Bucky. An officer walks me to a bulletproof glass cell in the back of the aisle.

"I'm sorry. I promise I was on my way to the session but then Sam called" he starts speaking

"And you run to him without thinking twice? I thought you weren't taking his calls"

"I... Something is up, Emmy"

"Of course" I sigh.

I shake my head and I walk back.

"Emmy, where are you going?" Bucky asks surprised

"To pick up JJ from school since her father is unavailable" I answer

"I'm not going to be if you get me out of here"

"You think I came here to bail you out?" I chuckle

"Yes?"

"I only came here to check if you're unharmed. Maybe staying here for a day will teach you a lesson about lying" I state and I continue to walk away.

He calls my name but I ignore him. And coming out of the hallway, Sam is waiting for me.

"You're really letting him in there?" he asks surprised

"I am. At least this way, I know exactly where he is and I won't have to stress about him getting hurt" I explain

"You could lock him in the house instead" he suggests

"Sam, is there a specific reason that you want him out of here?" I wonder

"No, why would I?"

"Then you can follow me outside and go on with your day".

As I turn to the door, another familiar face enters. Bucky's therapist.

"Dr. Raynor" I greet her with a handshake

"Dr. Barnes, I wish we met again under different circumstances" she says

"Me too" I admit. "Could I have a word with you for a moment?"

"Of course".

We step away from Sam.

"How is he really?" I ask

"I'm sorry, I cannot break confidentiality" she answers

"I know, but I am worried. Please. This won't get out".

"He was doing good. Routine was really good for him and, he didn't like talking to me, but he loved speaking about you and JJ. That was up until two weeks ago"

Up until Steve retired and Sam handed over the shield.

"I believe something happened and his walls came up again" she continues.

"So, you'd suggest we go back to that routine?" I wonder

"If it's possible, absolutely"

"Thank you".
