keonhee clasped their hands, locking lips with his boyfriend. if he was lucky, this would be one of the last kisses they shared as just that. m/n played with the hem of keonhee's shirt, enjoying the feeling of his boyfriend's lips against his. running his hands through m/n's hair, m/n gasped, spreading a breath of air over both of their lips.

pulling away, m/n let out an unknown sound of disappointment, keonhee smiling happily. "what should we do for our birthday?" m/n smiled, squeezing keonhee's hands. "nothing." laughing, keonhee brushed the boy's hair. "baby, we need to do something fun." pouting, keonhee scrunched up his nose, pecking m/n's forehead. "yeah, but nothing is fun."

rolling his eyes, the couple laughed, connecting their lips one more time. "don't worry love, i have a good idea." m/n smiled, hugging keonhee happily. smiling back, keonhee wrapped his arms around m/n, tightly squeezing him.

he hoped his plan would go well.

keonhee sighed, pushing his blue light glasses up his nose bridge, rubbing his hair through his head. he sat in the living room of their shared apartment, scrolling on the laptop. his phone lit up, seoho's name appearing on his screen.

"hey keonhee." seoho said, his cheery voice to much for keonhee's fried brain. "hey hyung." "what are you doing?"

keonhee smiled, the thought of what he was doing making him happy. "planning a date with m/n." "aww, cute!" he could hear the smile in seoho's voice. "can i tell you a secret?"

seoho hummed, keonhee opening his mouth. "i'm proposing to him on our birthday." seoho screamed, keonhee turning his phone volume down. "keep it quiet! m/n's sleeping."

"y'all are so cute! i'm so excited!" smiling brightly, he continued to brag about his partner. "he is cute. i hope he really likes it." "i'm going to tell geonhak." "hyung don't you dare!"

"babe are you okay?" m/n asked rubbing his eyes. "oh m/n- seoho i have to go." keonhee said, seoho saying goodbye to the couple, hanging up the phone. "did we wake you up baby?" keonhee asked, rubbing his hands on m/n's waist.

"no. i woke up on my own." pouting, keonhee brushed his boyfriend's lips, kissing his face. "are you lying to me?" "yes." connecting their lips, m/n smiled, wrapping his hands around his boyfriend's neck.

"i'm sorry baby. do you want to go to sleep?" m/n nodded, keonhee shutting his laptop, picking m/n up. the two traveled back to the shared bedroom, keonhee placing m/n onto bed.

continuing to brush m/n's hair, keonhee lightly hummed to the sleepy boy, kissing his face. seeing the boy fall asleep, he tucked them both under the covers, snuggling into the boy's body.

"you have no idea what i'm planning for you."

a few days had passed, the couple's birthday had rolled around, keonhee nervously sweating at the thought of the day.

"good morning baby." m/n's eyes opened, keonhee's face greeting him. "keonhee, is it morning?" he sleepily asked, hugging onto his boyfriend's body. "i brought you breakfast." m/n clapped his hands, keonhee putting a tray down, sitting next to his boyfriend.

"it's good!" m/n smiled, pecking keonhee's lips. "i'm glad you like it." keonhee smiled, petting the boy's hair, caressing his face with his thumb.

you have no idea what i'm going to do.

keonhee was freaking out. the minutes were ticking down until he proposed to the love of his life. no pressure. he knew m/n would accept, but he still panicked that he would reject.

the couple had started the day at their house, cuddling under the covers. pulling m/n out of the house, the two well put together boys walked around the city, seeing sights and shopping together.

clasping their hands together, keonhee and m/n walked through the city that changed into nightlife, keonhee leading them to a park. "where are we going baby?" keonhee smiled, continuing walking. "somewhere special."

the two got to the park, keonhee's hands shaking. "we're almost there." keonhee smiled, his heart dropping through his stomach. getting to the hill, keonhee sat down, m/n following right behind him.

"it's so pretty." m/n gasped, keonhee's hand going behind him. "just like you." laughing, m/n stood up, running down a hill. "wait for me!" the couple ran around the hill, their laughter echoing through the grass.

getting back to the top, their was a pause, the couple connecting their lips. it was now or never. "m/n." keonhee said, clearing his throat. "i have a question to ask you." "what is it babe?" pulling away, m/n tilting his head confused, taking one last deep breath.

getting on one knee, m/n's mouth went slack, keonhee fumbling with the ring box. "m/n. we've been dating for 4 years now. it would take all of the words in the world and the stars in the sky to explain how much i love you. you feel like my soulmate. we're born on the same day, same year. we do the same things. hell, we met going to our similar jobs, to see our friends who knew each other. i love you with all my heart. will you make me the happiest man in the history of the world and marry me."

tears fell down their faces, m/n nodding. "yes. yes i will marry you keonhee." sliding the ring on m/n's finger, the couple hugged each other tightly, connecting their lips. "i can't explain how happy i am." m/n said, keonhee wiping the tears off his face. "the best birthday gift everywhere." the two laughed, keonhee smiling happily. "we'll finally be together forever."

and maybe the stars shined a little brighter over the fiancés, the soulmates locked in together. connected.
