Chapter 25

HeavenLeigh POV

11 PM

"You're all settled?" I asked Deon as I walked in the guest room while holding a mini Bible in my hand.

"Yep, finished taking a shower for the first time in I don't know how long. Feels good to be in hot water again" He said taking a deep breath.

"Aww I'm so glad and grateful I can help you" I said to him.

I didn't have Honesty with me tonight since Deon's here for right now. I had her with my babysitter I hired when I first moved out here in New York.

"Thanks again Heaven. I promise I won't be long" Deon said.

"Don't say that, it's alright" I said to him. "Also, I have something for you" I added.

"For me?" He said.

"Mhm" I replied handing him the mini Bible and he rose his eyebrows.

"It's a mini Bible with a few passages, a few notes, a few words of wisdom and guidance. I know it can help you right now while you're in need" I said.

"I don't know Heaven.." Deon said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I don't know because I feel like God probably don't fuck wit me because of what I've done." Deon said.

"No no, don't say that okay? This is why we repent. We ask for forgiveness and guidance through our trying times and trials and tribulations. But you gotta have faith Deon. Because without faith, it is impossible to please Him." I said to him.

He just looked at me and said "Wow. You must've grew up in church"

I laughed and said "Yeah. I did, but I developed my own relationship with God. The best thing you can do right now is have faith, and apply yourself. Because while you're getting clean, your faith will get tested. And your strength. Because the enemy knows your weakness."

"The enemy is the devil right?" Deon asked.

"Mhm. The enemy knows your weaknesses and your strengths. But see he will use your weaknesses to get you to relapse again so you can start back from square one. But we're gonna make sure that doesn't happen again. Okay?" I said.

"Okay, I'm wit that. I feel like you're an angel lowkey" He said and I laughed because he was so serious.

"I'm for real. You're just an angel in human form. I think that's dope HeavenLeigh.." Deon said and I took a deep breath.

"Thank you so much." I said.

"You're welcome, shit, only an angel would be willing to help somebody like me" He said chuckling.

"Stop it" I said.

"I'm for real" Deon said.

"I know, stop talking down on yourself okay?" I said.

He nodded his head and said "I'm sorry. I'm just so used to everyone else doing that, I try to beat them to it."

"Well I would never do that. So that ends today. Okay?" I said.

"Okay." He said.

"Now, in this Bible I highlighted some very pivotal scriptures and lessons that I think will help you, and that you'll understand very clearly. One thing about this word, is that it's a guide through life. I really hope you like it" I said.

"I'm sure I will. Thank you man, thank you" He said giving me a hug and I hugged him back saying "No problem. You sleep good alright?"

"Alright" He said as we pulled away and I stood up, leaving out of the guest bedroom and I closed it behind me, before making my way up the stairs and into my bedroom. I shut the door behind me and locked it.
