"If y'all know this one, sing it with me.." I said to the crowd.
This was my first time performing again since my father has passed. I just needed to take time off, and relax and be with my family before showing my face again.
The beat dropped and everybody sang "I miss youuuuuu"
"Come on!" I said with a smile as they kept going.
"I'm talking to you baby, I miss you"
Remy, Kamal, Latrel, and Deon were front row towards the side and with security. Remy waved and smiled and I smiled back returning the wave as I kept going.
"We used to talk, and laugh all night boy What happened to those days Did they all just fade awayyyy Holding you in my arms Made me feel so happy Then you said you had to go What's wrong? Baby I need to know" I sang.
This was one of my songs on my album that went double platinum. I guess people just really relate. And can feel what I'm saying.
"But you're long gone away And I'm missing you I miss youuuuu yes I doooo from the bottom of my heart I miss you Ohhh yes I do... I'm talking to you baby Hear me when I say I miss you, yes I do" I sang.
Roddy walked in and took his shades off, watching me from the back of the audience. I seen him, and he looked me right in my eyes.
Then I just reverted my attention elsewhere.
Do I miss Roddy?
Sometimes.
Won't even lie. But I cannot move past what has happened. This man lied and deceived me, and cheated on me.
That's just something that I cannot move forward from. And that's the sad reality.
Sometimes I think I can, but overall, I don't think so. Too much damage has been done.
