Kamal POV

"Alright I was just calling to make sure you were good, I'ma come by yo house tonight" Remy said on the phone with me as I was putting a box of Cheerios in my cart.

Went and did some last minute grocery shopping.

"Aight I love you, thanks for calling sis" I said.

"Of course. I love you more, see you later" She said.

"Aight" I replied before we hung up the phone.

As I was walking down the cereal aisle, I grabbed a box of cookie crisps and put them in the cart, and I seen an older woman struggling to reach for some Raisin Bran.

"Oh I got you, I got you" I said being polite as I grabbed it for her.

"Thank you so much." She said as I put it in her basket for her.

"No problem, no problem. You okay?" I asked, because she looked a little down.

"Oh- Yes, yes. I'm fine, just another day." She said shrugging.

"I feel you. Believe me" I said and she chuckled.

"Absolutely" She said.

"I'm going on an all fruit diet, what kind of fruits you think I should get?" I asked her.

Shit was cap. I'm just making conversation to make her day. I could tell she was in a fucked up mood.

And I know all about that.

"All fruits?" She said.

"Yeah" I said. "I see you got them strawberries in yo purse, can I taste one?" I asked straight up and she laughed.

"Oh yeah, go ahead try one" She said grabbing the box for me out of her purse. "I already washed them and everything, as you can see." She said.

"Mhm that's why I asked" I said and she smiled. "Gone head and feed me one mama" I said and she laughed feeding me the strawberry.

"Mmm, yea this good. Here" I said grabbing another one. "Try you one" I said and she leaned in opening her mouth and I rose my eyebrows as I fed her one and she giggled.

I laughed a little and she said "Yeah.. It is good" As she wiped the side of her mouth.

"Mhm. See, I noticed how you let me feed you that. I'm already knowin you a sugar mama" I said and she laughed so hard.

"Oh most definitely" She said sarcastically as she laughed.

"I can be yo suga baby, don't play" I joked and we both laughed. "You are funny" She said.

"Don't let me slip away from ya" I said.

"Oh honey, I've been married to my husband for 21 years.." She said. But she sound like she don't even wanna say that shit. I chuckled.

"Sharing is caring" I said and she bursted out laughing. "Oh goodness" She said as she laughed.

"All jokes aside, I just wanted to make yo day ma'am. I hope you feel better." I said to her and she just looked at me for a moment.

"How'd you know I was feeling down?" She asked.

"I know that demeanor probably better than anybody." I said as she just looked at me.

"You enjoy the rest of your day beautiful." I said as I grabbed her hand and placed a kiss on it, then I let go and started walking off.

My phone started ringing and I pulled it out of my pocket seeing it was Roddy calling.
