HeavenLeigh POV

"You good?" Roddy asked me as I walked in his house, just came back from seeing my mother, and I dropped my purse as I sighed.

"Yeah I guess." I said giving him a hug, he hugged me back, and wrapped his arms around me.

"How's your mother?" He asked.

"Well, trying to plan the funeral didn't go too well. She ended up crying which made me cry. So, we're gonna start planning probably tomorrow." I said sighing.

"I understand.." Roddy said kissing my forehead.

I slowly pulled away and said "Where's Honesty?"

"In my bed sleep, Deon went to get his hair cut. I got him an Uber to get to and from." Roddy said.

"Thank you so much. I appreciate that." I said.

"Anytime. He a coo nigga, I think it's dope that you're helping him." Roddy said.

"Thank you.." I said flashing a small smile.

"No problem." Roddy said. "I got something for you." He added grabbing my hand and he was leading me to the living room.

It was a big bouquet of white lillies, a card, and some white chocolates.

"Aww.." I said with a smile as I walked over to them. I grabbed the lillies and analyzed them. "These are beautiful"

"I was hoping you would like them.." Roddy said.

"I love them." I said before grabbing the card and opening it.

"What your father has done here on earth will forever live on, he was a genuine soul. I'm thankful for the time I did get to spend with him. HeavenLeigh you are a woman of faith, so Jesus already knows what to do. God has a beautiful assignment for you. He has you, so keep holding on and don't let go. I'm so sorry, my condolences to the most beautiful, strong, courageous woman in the world.

"Aww Roddy.." I said before hugging him and he hugged me back. "Thank you. Thank you so much." I said.

"Of course." He said hugging me tight.

He kissed my forehead over and over, then my cheek.

"I love you." Roddy said to me.

"I love you too." I said back, and he kissed my lips.

"Wait wait Roddy" I said pulling away.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I'm not.. Trying to do that. Especially right now." I said.

"We can't kiss? Heaven it's clear we both still have feelings for each other." Roddy said.

"I know but that doesn't mean I wanna get back with you. And right now? I really don't wanna talk about that. I got enough problems, I couldn't imagine adding another one." I said sighing.

"So I'm a problem?" Roddy said.

"No, I never said that. I'm saying I don't want us having problems. Okay? Can you understand that? It's just too much going on right now." I said.

"I feel you, and I'm sorry." Roddy said.

I nodded my head and said "I'm gonna go lay down.."
