Kamal POV

"Heaven" I said ringing the door bell before knocking.

Came to see her of course, gotta check in. See how she holding up. I know it's rough.

And everyone knows she checks up on everyone else, and make sure everyone else is good. So I gotta return that.

She finally came to the door and she just looked done.

She looked irritated, sad, tired. All that.

"Now's not a good time Kamal.." She mumbled as she let me in.

I seen her working on the lights in the living room, and "Get it together" by 702 was blasting.

Yeah she definitely in a fucked up mood.

"My bad. Anything I can do?" I asked.

"Nah. But thank you. So much." She said.

I nodded my head and looked around before saying"What you doing?"

"Fixing these lights." She said.

"What? That's dangerous for you Heaven" I said. She climbed the mini ladder, pulled on the top plug and some electricity came out and stung up. She smacked her lips and said "Dang it" as she blew the tip of her finger and started moving her hand rapidly trying to take away the pain.

"Heaven stop it- Why you didn't ask Deon to do this or me?" I asked.

"Deon's at the program right now." She said.

"And you didn't ask me because..?" I said.

"I just wanted to do it by myself Kamal." She said.

I looked at her as she got off the ladder and she rubbed her face tilting her head back.

"You look like you.. Lost something near and dear to you." I said to her.

"Well I did. My father." She said.

"I know, but we both know what else I'm referring to." I said.

She looked at me and just shook her head before sitting down on the couch.

I sat on the couch with her and said "Things are worse between you and Roddy?"

"Yep." She said. "Kamal.. He literally doesn't respect me at all." She added.

"What happened?" I asked.

"He just- He came by the house, trying to talk about some nonsense and since he ain't get his way he calls me out of my name. So distasteful. And he says fuck you bitch. To me." She said.

I rose my eyebrows at her cussing but I understood why. Shes just done right now.

"Father God forgive me but that's what that man said to me Kamal. More than once. After everything? That's what you say to me? I laid it on the line for that man. So I'm not in the best mood to deal with anybody right now. I'm just- My mind is scattered, I can't even grieve my father in peace because this man is literally the walking devil." HeavenLeigh said.

I sighed and put one arm around her.

"You know I'm here right?" I said.

"Yeah I know." She said.

"Me and Remy got you. We gone hold it down like we always do. For you and Honesty." I said.

"I always been the healer Kamal.. But sometimes the healer needs healing too." She said looking over at me.

"And that's why we gone be right there to hold it up." I said.

"Aight?" I said to her. She grabbed my chin hair and chuckled.
