AYODHYA, INDIA (NOVEMBER 2020), (2:45 PM IST)
"Seriously! Usne date ke liye pucha?!", Aashvi was beyond shock.
["Seriously! He asked you out on a date?!"]
The girl held the cellular device between the shoulder and crook of the neck while her hands rummaged through the cupboard, searching for the particular saari.
"Yaar date ke liye nhi pucha, bas dinner ke liye pucha hai...", the Ayodhya girl tried explaining the scenario to her as she made her way towards the famous Hanuman Garhi temple, which was said to be a beautiful shrine dedicated to lord Hanuman, a place where every sin is washed away, and the entire wishes are fulfilled.
["Come one man he didn't asked me out on a date, it's the dinner he asked for"]
"Accha, aur dono mein fark kya hota hai ye bhi bata do na...Buddhijivi!"
["Uhh huh, and care to explain the difference between the two... wannabe Einstein!"]
"Yaar! We are not in a relationship! Toh date kaise hua? It's just a normal dinner...""
["Dude! We are not in a relationship! Then how can you call it a date? It's just a normal dinner..."]
"Hmm...Korean and Indian decided to go for a dinner. Where? In Nepal!! Don't you think going to some different country just for a dinner is a bit too much? That also for those two who don't even live in Nepal? "
Aashvi exclaimed as she finally found the saare, kept it on the bed and closed the cupboard back.
"Yaar! Chhor! Vaise bhi November ke end mein jana hoga. Company bhi tab tak dates jaari kar degi. I hope ki dates uski dates se match kare."
["Man! Never mind! The plan is set for the end of November anyway. Company will also announce the dates till then. I hope that they align with his dates"]
"Dekh, it's not just about Nepal and stuff. It's about him and you. Tum dono apni feelings ko lekar sure toh nhi lag rhe. Please khuch ulta sidha na karna jiski wajah se baad mein regret karna pade."
["See, it's not just about Nepal and stuff. It's about him and you. You both seems confused about your own feelings. Please don't do anything stupid that might lead to regret in future"]
"Haan Aashu! Dhyan rakhungi. Accha ek baat batao? Agar tumhe Jae-Sung aise puchta toh use tum dinner kehti ya date?", the question was filled with teasing and anticipation and Aashvi was able to sense it anyway.
["Okay Aashu! I will keep that in mind. Okay tell me na? If Jae-Sung would have asked you out like this, then would it have been a dinner or a date?"]
Awkward silence engulfed the moment for few seconds before the Lucknowite was heard laughing nervously and stuttering, "Kya keh rhi ho... awaz nhi arhiiiii!!!
["What you are saying...can't hear you!!!"]
The girls shared a laugh and continued talking till Reva reached her destination. She hung up the call and entered inside the temple.
Peace!! That's what I want right now...
She had this habit of visiting Hanuman Garhi temple since she was in 8th grade. Well, that was the time when she not only got hit by puberty (like a truck), but also became a victim of self-degradation and peer pressure. And that was the time when Bajrangbali entered in the picture. More like it was always pre-decided for her to come under the blessing of the mightiest devotee of Lord Rama.
