Asia is a huge continent. Its is the largest one in the world and comprise of many countries that had their own culture...few of them carry multi cultures. Completely different from the western world and the victim of generalizations and stereotypes, the continent is nothing closer that has been represented in western media.
The diversity that the continent has to offer is simply delicious. The ways of expressing emotions for any event are also diverse and interesting to know. If we talk about South Korea, the first thing that comes in our mind is BTS and K-Dramas. This is for a layman of 2020s point of view who just know South Korea kind off superficially. But in early 2000s or 2010s, if someone would have been asked about the country, the first reaction would have come with a frown followed by an assumption of no difference between North and South Korea.
For India, the stereotype was same way annoying as in 2000s and 2010s, majority of the world mistook India as a part of middle east with no difference between Arabs and Indians. Some more intellect individuals used to thought that India was a continent and Pakistan was its capital. Maybe education is illegal in west after all.
Still, as we can say in the post-corona world, the certain misconceptions changed.
The difference between west and east also is shown through their basic concept of romance. The main stream media, social media and western culture certainly did some damage to the innocent romance that the countries used to adore earlier. The concept of exploring relationship and giving new names to filthy and unwanted human desires like hook up, one night stand, no strings attached, friends with benefits etc., is doing nothing good but simply contaminating the basic essence of love.
Yet, by the end of the day, people slowly are going back to their old school, simple, sweet yet spark-full romance.
The South Korean, more like east Asian romance in general has always carried a modern yet soft love.

The school love where even the uniforms radiate love. The spark of first love, cute stares and holding hands is equal to 440V current. Somewhat experienced everywhere, yet a kind of sophistication that only east Asians radiate.
