Go for a Ride?

"Athena, hey Athena!" Imelda says shoving me a to wake me up.

"Imelda go away...." I say grumpy not wanting to leave my bed in the dormitory.

"Come on Athena, come fly with me! Just for a little! Practice starts again today and the next game is the day before the ball! I won't have any time to hang out with you! I have to tell you about my Date! Please!" She says pulling the covers off of me.

I look up at her groggily "okay, okay I'm up. Ugh" I say rubbing my eyes and stretching out my arms. "Give me a few minutes to shower and get ready will you?"

I get done and braid my hair lazily with pieces falling loosely around my face.

When I walk into the common room I see Salis talking with a girl in the corner. I ignore his presence as if I didn't strangle him last night. I smirk to myself going up the stairs into the castle.

I find Imelda in the Great hall talking with Violet. "Good morning Violet." I say smiling.

"Athena." She says blankly.

"Good now let's get going you two!" Imelda says excitedly.

Violet looks me up and down with disgust then trails behind Imelda.

What the bloody hell is her problem?

We head outside with our brooms and Imelda says "good luck keep up with me...." And shoots off in the air.

Violet and I shoot after her trying our best to keep up with her. Once we catch up I can keep at her pace. We fly over the Forbidden Forest, back towards Hogsmeade, we see the Hogwarts express which is rare, and we head back to the castle grounds onto the quidditch field.

We find a spot without snow and set out brooms down. I've never hung out with Violet before and so far I'm not loving her energy. I just want to hear what happened on Imelda's date....

"Okay well, have you two even really met?" Imelda says sitting down on the turf.

"In passing" Violet says irritated.

"Imelda I can go and leave you guys to it. I'll catch up with you later!" I say grabbing my broom trying to run out of there.

Imelda stops me by grabbing my arm "don't go! It's okay! Hang out for a bit? Please?"

I look at Imelda and then back to Violet who is sitting now, playing with her nails. "It just takes time for her to warm up to people. That's all." Imelda says smiling.

I nod my head and we head back.

"Hecktor took me out to a quidditch game, but it was just locals playing for sport. However there was a sponsor there who was looking for new recruits.... Hecktor got me out on the field... and the recruiter asked me to fly this summer with the Montrose Magpies. To see if I fit the team! GUYS I WAS NOTICED FOR A TEAM!" she is excited that she is up running around the field jumping and screaming "I did it! I did it!"

I'm so excited to her it takes me a moment to take in what she just told me. I run to her and tackle her to the ground giving her the biggest hug ever!

"IMELDA THAT IS AMAZING!!!! What a perfect date!" I say laughing as we're on the ground.

Violet makes her way over to us slow clapping and says "Bravo my friend! I knew you could do it!"

"Hecktor is going to come with me this summer! He wants to travel the world so excited for the opportunity for me!" Imelda says laughing and I just feel like she's glowing!

"Imelda I'm so proud of you! That'll be so amazing! What and opportunity!" I say grabbing her arm helping her up on her feet.

"You two are my closest friends! I had to tell you first! I love you guys so much" she says bringing us both into a group hug which is super awkward but I'm so happy for Imelda I just hug her back.
