Light in the Dark // Sebastian Sallow

Its a bad morning.

Anne and Ominis had offered over and over again to walk me up to the room of requirements after my little out burst. However it was getting very late and I didn't want them to get in trouble for being out. So I sent them on there way back to the common room.

I used the floo powder from the map chamber and made my way up to the room of requirement quickly.

I was so tired I barely gave Deek a auditable hello, and goodnight, before heading to the cottage on the beach in the vivarium.

Sebastian thankfully wasn't back yet, so I had time to sneak into bed and comfortable. It wasn't hard to get to sleep with the sound of the wave crashing on the sand. It lulled me to sleep quickly.

The next morning I was shocked not seeing Sebastian in the room. He promised he'd be here.... So I got up and cleaned myself off, changing into new robes for the day.

I made my way into the Great Hall.

I still felt so drained from the night before, emotionally.

I sit myself at the Slytherin table trying to avoid every, and anyone who tried to pass me. I wasn't into the mood today.

I grab a apple and reluctantly start eating, I notice that Ominis, Anne, and Sebastian aren't here... that's odd.... Where the bloody hell are there. Especially Sebastian....

"It is true then?"

I turn to see who has interrupted my thoughts rudely.

"Your going to have to me more specific..." I say look at Samantha Dale, one of the Ravenclaws I helped out once in 5th year.

"You and Sallow... did you actually run off and get married... you know if it is... that's okay to make a lot of girls around here unhappy." She says tapping her fingers on the table.

I sarcastically look at my ring finger and gasp "when did this get here?" I say in a pretend shock.

"Why would you do that? I mean I know people get married young but do you actually love him? Addie is going to be so upset!" Samantha says looking distraught.

"No, I married him because I hated him... Samantha is this really why you came over here? You've only talked to me once before...." I say in aggravation.

All of a sudden Poppy is sitting next to me out of no where "hello Athena... Samantha Dale? I hope I'm not interrupting something...." Poppy says with wide eyes.

"Not at all Poppy, I was just leaving... I got what I wanted... and Athena, just so you know... this conversation is not finished." Samantha says giving me a smirk at she leaves.

"Mmm..." is all I could get out without sounding like a completely bitch.

"What the bloody hell was that about? You two never talk?" Poppy says with a laugh

"She asked me if I married Sebastian... apparently her best friend Addie is going to be very upset." I say taking another bite of my apple.

"Well, he is the school heartthrob. He always has been. Sebastian and I have always been good friends, but I never wanted to be with him like that. I actually always thought Ominis was super cute...." Poppy says with a smirk.

"Poppy. Sweeting. You had a crush on Ominis?" I say with shock in my voice.

"I did! He just never seemed very interested, and last year Garreth started talking to me... and that was that!" Poppy says with a giggle and a Shrug.

"Well we had a good time with you and Garreth the other night. I hope we didn't interrupt anything..." I say with a cringe.

"Nonsense! We loved having you two there as well! Nothing to interrupt." She says with a smile.

"Hey, have you heard from Natty in a while? I feel like I haven't seen her all year...." I say look at the Gryffindor table.

"She didn't tell you?" Poppy says frowning.

"Tell me.... What?...."

"She wanted to go back to Uganda, finish up her last year with her friends back home." Poppy says patting my back.

"What? When did she leave?" I say In utter shock.

"About three weeks ago...." Poppy says with a cringe.

"Three bloody weeks ago? Poppy! What the hell! I didn't even get a goodbye, or a letter! Nothing at all." I say feeling completely heart broken.

"It's alright Athena, I'm sure we'll see her back! Her mother is still here!" Poppy says trying to cheer me up.

I drop my head to the table.

"Honestly, Maybe you and I can go to honey dukes today? Or do something exciting? I know Garreth is helping Sebastian today with the house."

"Sebastian....." I say angrily.

"Ut oh... what happened?" Poppy says concerned.

"He was suppose to meet me in the room of requirement last night and never did...." I say lifting my off the table.

"Speak of the devil..." Poppy says looking towards the door.

Sebastian comes through the double door with Adelaide Oakes, Ominis, Anne, and Imelda.

Adelaide giggle at something Sebastian says to her, and the flirtatiously grabs his arm as she walks to the hufflepuff table.

"Did you see that?"
"Oh I definitely saw that?"
"That was definitely something? I'm not crazy right?" I say with my eye twitching.

Did he seriously smile back at her?

I'm going to throw up.

He's coming this way.

My hand reacts before I can even think.

I slapped Sebastian hard in the face, making everyone turn towards us. Then I threw my hands in the air and turned on my heel and walked out of the great hall.

Poppy right at my side.

I grab my broom, and Poppy does the same. And we ride.
