Annoucment if the Ball (trigger warning)

The next morning Professor Black finally announces the Valentines Day Ball coming in just three weeks time. Ominis huffed out a small laugh, and Sebastian looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Well, I guess I have to think of a brilliant way to ask Oaks to the ball then...." Sebastian says sarcastically and I punch him in the arm with my nose twitching.

"Good luck to her then. I'm sure you two will make a lovely couple. Please give her my regards. Are you going to invite Anne, Ominis?" I say changing the subject.

"I haven't been to a ball in ages, and I'm sure that Anne would love it, don't you think? I'm going to go write her right now. I'll catch up with you two later?" Ominis days getting up and scurrying out of the great hall.

I can't help but reach for my ring on my neckless and play with it. I continue to eat my breakfast. Sebastian kisses my cheek and smiles at me. He whispers into my ear "I love you. Your mine. Come to the dance with me?" He says pulling back from my ear kissing my cheek again.

His words and actions send shivers down my spine giving me goose bumps. Teasing him I whisper in his ear and say "ask me again with flowers, then maybe we'll talk." I pull away and kiss his mouth. I rise from my seat and leave him sitting alone wanting more of me.

It's Sunday, and  I have a training session with Professor Hecat.  I walk up to her room and she welcomes me inside. "Come in, come on Ms. Johnson! So good to finally catch up with you. I wanted to apologize for not getting together sooner. How are you feeling as of late?"

"Not to worry Professor, we've Been very busy! My magic is still overflowing. I find myself needing to realize my energy. I really think I need to find out more about this magic. I did learn so much from the keepers, but I just feel like there is so much more to it." I say honestly.

"Perhaps, but I've heard you've been using the room of requirement a lot lately. Is that where your letting out this energy?" Hecat says concerned.

"How do you know about ...." I say being interrupted

"Professor Weasley." Hecat says waving the question off.

"Right, I do find myself in there a lot as of late. I feel like I'm going to hurt someone if I don't." I say concerned.

"There are a few things I've decided to teach you. The only reason I will be teaching you some of these techniques is because people always seem to be after you for your magic. It's important you know how to defend yourself against different magic dark and regular. I know many things from being an unspeakable."

Professor Hecat turns to me and says "In todays lesson I will be teaching you how to protect yourself from Legilimancy using Occlumency, which requires a great amount of willpower. Can you tell me anything about Legilimancy?"

I think for a moment "Legilimancy is when you can look into someone's mind? So I'm assuming that Occlumency forces someone out of your mind?" I say shrugging.

"Legilimency is the act of magically navigating through the many layers of a person's mind and correctly interpreting one's findings. A person who practises this art is known as a Legilimens" Professor says matter of factly.

"Occlumency is the act of magically closing one's mind against Legilimency." She says looking me in the eye very sternly.

"This will take much practice, it can also be very painful. Understand I will be able to see into your mind. Completely into your mind. What you need to do if Focus on pulling yourself out of your mind, or more so pushing me out of your memory like I am Quaffle you need to through across a quidditch field." Hecat is standing across the room from me.
