Undercroft

I storm into the undercroft fuming from Gareth words. How could he be so cruel? I never even flirted with him! What was he thinking?

I find myself casting spell after spell at the dummy in the undercroft feeling my ancient magic rise. It's getting more hard to control these days. But I take all of the ancient magic and throw it at the dummy making it explode everywhere. Breathing heavily I turn to Sebastian who is standing at the entrance staring at me.

Sebastian immediately came over to me and hugged me and looked me in the eye "Don't you dare let what he said to you hurt you. He's not worth that. You are powerful. You are strong. And even if you did flirt with him who cares, he has no right to treat you like that. You are so much more then that, I wished you could see the way that you looked to me. You would be amazed at the sight. You'd see a heart that fearless and true. From my point of view, you shine. Your heart is so pure. If he ever talks to you like that I swear I'll punch him even harder."

I look up to him "Sebastian, your hand.... Your hurt..." I say grabbing my bottle of Wiggenweld Potion handing it to him.

"You just carry these around everywhere with you? But don't worry about me I'm find. He deserved it. I've actually wanted to do that to him for a long time. Unfortunately I have to sit next to him in potions every years. Stupid Pratt." He says drinking the potion in on shot.

I look at Sebastian " When you left me I felt so alone. I have been in such a dark place. You brought so much joy into my life. I was so hurt, and the nightmares got so much worse. I needed you .... and you were gone. I understood why you had to go. I do. I just really missed you...."

Sebastian hesitates "Ominis needed me just as I needed him Athena, and at the end of the day, he's my family too. I couldn't just Leave him behind to suffer while I had the best time of my life. I was in pain know what I did to my uncle have thinking Ominis was suffering.... I couldn't do it."

I look at him "I know"

Sebastian touch's my face with his thumb "you were the only thing on my mind when I left to go back to feltcroft. You, the beach, the stars..."

I grab his hand "was it worth it? Was it worth leaving?" I say looking at him trying to understand.

"Anne hasn't forgiving me, at all. However, her yelling at me and lashing everything out. Seems to help her immensely. She's been doing much better since. How we the curse is still there. But she's doing better..."

"Hey listen I don't love the fact I left you like that. I just had to go.... However I definitely missed your mums meals. You were definitely right about her. She knows how to cook." He says with a laugh.

"Are you drunk right now?" Sebastian asks curiously.

"I took one shot Sebastian. No." I say rolling my eyes

"I'm sorry I ruined the party for you." He says cringing.

"Are you serious? You punching Weasley was Bloody Brilliant. No need to apologize. I'm not really a partier anyway. The last party we were at I feel like I had a headache for a week. I learned not to mix my potions, especially if Garreth Weasley is in charge of making them." I say laughing.

"I missed talking to you." Sebastian says smiling and looking more seriously.

"Maybe you should of wrote to me more then?" I say putting my hands on my hips giving him the side eyes.

"Oi! I wrote you plenty." He says smiling and rolling his eyes.

"You wrote me twice." I say with eyebrows raised still smiling.

He takes a beat. Looking more nervous then I've ever seen him.

"Are you alright Bash?" I say looking at him concerned.

He takes  long breath and I can tell her trying to think of his worlds very carefully.

"Fifth year would of been so incredibly bad without you Athena. The moment you interrupted me from my reading in the common room the first night, I knew I was In trouble. You were the perfect distraction... but you also were the only person who could help me. That did help me.... And this summer.... With you... it was peaceful. The most peace I think I've felt since my parents.... May I take you on a proper date?"

I look at him for a long time  and finally get out"a date?"

"Oh man I shouldn't of said anything I'm sorry" he starts to get up looking wide eye and frantic.

"No Sebastian, stay. Don't Apologize I just, I didn't know..." he comes back down and touches my hand.

I get instant flutters when he touches my hand. It just feels right. All of it.

"It's okay if you don't know how you feel Athena, let me just take you on one date." He says smiling at me.

I smile at the thought "you want me? Sebastian Sallow wants... me?" I say stunned.

He looks at me smiling. "Is that okay?"

"Bloody Hell of course.... Yes of course I'll go on a date with you."

He looks at me with surprised eyes "really?"

"Where are you taking me?" I ask curiosity.

Sebastian smiles and hugs me. "That, my lady, is a surprise for you." He says booping my nose.

"It's a date then..." I say smiling.

"It's a date." He says taking my hand.
