Y/n was a 17 year old girl battling cancer. The only people that knew was her parents. They were there when she was diagnosed. Y/n wishes her boyfriend hawk was there but y/n doesnt know how to tell him especially now because hes so preoccupied with karate but y/n is the most important thing to hawk and he knows something is wrong and just wants to help.
Today y/n headed to school. She needed a distraction from all of the talk about chemotherapy and waiting for results. She wishes she could do karate but shes not well enough for that.
Y/n was at her locker when she started feeling light headed. She rubbed her head trying not to collapse but that didnt work.
" y/n" she heard eli shout right before she collapsed.
After a while she woke up in the nurses office. She felt someone holding her hand. She looked over to see hawk looking at her worriedly.
" are you okay"he asked. Hes definitely been crying.
" yeah I just fainted. Nothing to worry about" she said sitting up.
Hawk didnt believe her. People don't just faint. Theres always a reason.
" babe talk to me. You've been acting differently lately. You constantly skip practice and you don't hang out with anyone anymore and I'm sorry to say this but you look tired and pale. So please talk to me. No more lies" he said sitting beside her and cupping her cheeks with his hands.
Y/n took a deep breath in. Shes tried to think of ways to tell him before but it's too hard.
" so my mum took me to the hospital a month ago because I kept puking and feeling light headed and struggling to breathe and I started throwing up blood so she took me to the hospital and they diagnosed me with c-cancer"her voice broke saying that word.
A tear rolled down elis face. Those blue eyes filled with tears and pain appeared in his eyes.
" c-cancer" he said not processing it.
Y/n nodded trying not to cry herself.
" stage 2 cancer" she said.
" why didn't you tell me" he asked covering his mouth trying to hide how hysterically he was really crying.
" you were busy with karate and I knew how important that was to you and I didnt really know how to tell you. It was hard to find the words to tell you" y/n cried.
Hawk pulled y/n into a loving hug when she started to cry.
" your way more important than karate. I've never cared about anything as much as I care about you and I'm going to be by your side during treatment or just anytime you need me. Please don't keep anything else from. I love you and I'm here for you"he said sincerely.
Y/n nodded.
" okay I promise I'll tell you everything now" she said genuinely.
" good. I love you so much and your going to get through this" he said wiping her tears away.
" I love you too" she smiled and shr did get through it with eli by her side.
