Demetris 15th birthday was coming up and eli being his binary brother wanted to buy him something cool for his birthday.
Eli knew how much demetri wanted to go to a comic con because the creators of dungeon lord was going to be there but demetri couldn't afford it so eli wanted to get it for him.
Eli didnt have enough for it either so he was going to sell a bunch of things he didn't want anymore with y/n his sister who was 5.
Y/n loved demetri too. He was also like a brother so she wanted him to get these tickets too.
Today they went to a pawn shop in a strip mall and handed all there things to a guy.
" how much will all this get us" eli asked timidly. He hated talking to strangers.
" 50 bucks" the man said.
Eli frowned that wasn't nearly enough. It was a 100 dollars.
Luckily they brought some extra things just in case.
" what about now" he asked.
" 55 bucks" he said.
Eli grabbed the next thing but it was something he was reluctant to get rid of it. It was toy his grandpa had in the war and he gave it to eli before he died.
Y/n could tell he didn't want to get rid of it but he would for demetri. So y/n grabbed all of her things that she brought just in case and gave it to the man.
"How much now" she asked sweetly.
" y/n you don't have...." eli started but she stopped him and insisted.
" that'll be 100 dollars" he said.
" great" y/n smiled and took the money from the guy and handed it to eli.
The pair thanked the man and left the store and began walking home.
"Thank you for that. You really didn't have to" eli said softly.
" no problem. That toy means a lot to you and I want demetri to get these tickets too" y/n smiled sweetly.
Eli smiled back and they ordered the tickets and eli sent a screenshot to demetri and he instantly rang him.
" dude are you serious? You actually bought those tickets" he yelled down the phone.
" yeah we're going on your birthday" he smiled.
" you are the best. Thank you so much" he continued to yell excitedly down the phone.
" no problem. You deserve it" eli smiled.
" but how did you afford it? It was so expensive" demetri asked after he calmed down.
" well you should thank y/n for that. She sold most of her toys to get the money" he said looking at y/n who was sat on the floor near him playing with the toys she still has.
" well to thank her we'll buy her some new toys at the con" demetri said.
Eli nodded and they continued to talk for a while talking about the comic con and then eventually hung up.
" thank you y/n. That's the reaction I wanted out of him and thanks to you it happened" he smiled hugging her. She hugged back smiling happily she managed to help eli make demetri happy.
