Y/n and eli have been friends since birth pretty much. Eli was born a week before y/n. So that made the pair closer because they see each other every day and they live across from each other literally.
The pair are always together. There always having sleepovers, playing dungeon lord together, having movie marathons every Friday night, making forts together and talking about comic books. They were inseparable.
Even though they were always having fun outside of school. It was a different story in school. They both got picked on but eli definitely got it worse.
He was born with a cleft lip and when he was little he had surgery for it. Now hes stuck with a scar. Y/n was there the day he had surgery. Eli was so scared about it. So y/n promised she'd be there by his side when he was put to sleep and when he woke up and she promised she'd spend the night with him in the hospital which was scary for both of them.
Anyway elis scar made a lot of kids pick on him. Y/n always defended him but eli was starting to struggle to deal with it. He really couldn't take it anymore.
Y/n headed over to elis house for there Friday night movie marathon. It was a harry potter night.
She went straight up to his room with all there favourite snacks when she was met with eli crying on his bed.
" eli" she said softly.
He looked up and saw y/n looking at him concerned.
" come here" she opened her arms and eli instantly jumped into them crying hysterically.
" I can't take it anymore y/n. Kyler and brucks are never going to leave me alone" he said sadly.
Y/n stroked his back calming him down. Y/n knows eli likes that.
" dont say that. One day you'll be confident enough to put them in there place" y/n assured him.
Eli let go of the hug to face her. He looked like a mess. His eyes were puffy and red. Tears were streaming down his face and his skin was dry looking and his face was extremely red.
" yeah maybe but I'll always look like a freak" he cried harder jumping back on his bed.
"Don't you dare talk about yourself like that. Your beautiful. Your better looking than them. I mean have you seen brucks? Jesus christ he looks like the only thing hes ever eaten is donuts and ice cream and lets not forget just how stupid his face looks and Kyler thinks hes hot shit when really hes just an dumb looking asshole( no hate to the actors. The way they look is fine but you know shes trying to cheer up eli). You on the other hand are beautiful inside and out. Your face is beautiful, your lip is beautiful, your body is beautiful and your heart is beautiful. So please don't let them get you down eli. Remember your beautiful and there not" she said sitting down beside him and stroking his back again.
Eli sat up shocked. Hes never heard someone say something so sweet about him.
" you mean that" he asked insecurely.
" of course I do. Your gorgeous"she said cuddling him.
Eli smiled and wiped his tears and laid down on y/n comfortably. Hes never felt so loved.
" thanks y/n. Your the best" he said smiling up at her.
" no problem" she said happily.
