Y/n and eli have known each other since they were 5 years old. She moved next door to him and at first eli was too nervous to talk to her but one day y/n was playing with a football alone and eli was sat outside waiting for his friend demetri to arrive when the ball went near him.
Eli being awkward just stared at it for a second before y/n approached him asking for it back and he then kicked it back and y/n decided to talk to him. She needed a friend.
Well ever since then they've been joined to the hip. Y/n found a really good friend in eli. Hes always there to support her when she needed it and she really needed it now.
Y/n mom just died of cancer and shes been heartbroken and depressed. She wont talk about it. She just cries.
Eli cries with her. They sit in her room together all day while y/n lies on top of eli crying into his shoulder.
Eli just let's her do that even if he gets uncomfortable.
Today was just like that. They were laying on her bed in that position watching cartoons.
" hey do you want some food? You haven't ate much lately" eli said.
Y/n nodded. She hasn't been very talkative lately.
" what do you fancy? I'll get it" eli said hopping off the bed gently getting y/n off of him.
" I don't mind" she said sadly.
Elis heart was breaking for her. She used to be so energetic and chatty and bubbly but now shes the opposite.
He really wanted to cheer her up.
" okay I'll be back" he ran downstairs to her kitchen.
He was going to make her favourite with her dads help of course. Pepperoni pizza with fries and a glass of cola and get some her favourite snacks like skittles, donuts and doritos.
He knows this won't get rid of the pain of losing her mom but hopefully it will make her smile. Hes missed her smile.
It took half n hour to make and when he was done he put it all on a tray and and put a little teddy bear that was her moms on the tray and went up to her room.
" hey foods ready" eli said.
She looked over and saw eli with her favourite meal and the teddy bear and snacks.
" awww eli did you do this" she sat up to look better.
" yes. I know its not going to bring your mom back but I just want to do something nice for you. You deserve it after everything that's happened" he smiled sweetly.
Y/n stood up and ran to eli and hugged him after he put the tray down. He really is the sweetest boy in the world.
" thank you eli. You really are the best friend I could ask for" she smiled.
" don't have to thank me. Your my best friend. I'll always be here for you and I'll always try and make you happy" eli said holding her tight.
The pair hugged for a while longer until they decided to watch a movie and y/n shared her food with eli grateful she had him through all of this and she would never feel alone because of him.
