Y/n has been on cobra kai since season 1. She thought it was going to be an awesome opportunity but no we're on season 5 now and shes barely done anything. No stunts or anything.
Her character is hawks girlfriend. Shes not in every episode and when she is shes basically just walking with Jacob while he has his arm around her and he says lines.
Y/n was getting super bored of cobra kai. Shes doesnt see the point of her going anymore. She thought eventually she'd get more screen time but no. Shes actually got less and what pissed her off more was in season 2 they brought in tory when they could of just used her character.
Today was a table read. Y/n really didnt want to go. She literally has one line in the entire episode.
Y/n went in and sat down beside Jacob.
" hey" he said happily.
She just smiled and it wasn't even a happy smile. It was a fed up smile.
" are you okay" he asked sweetly.
She just nodded. She was in such a bad mood.
She just sat there with her arms folded until in got to her line and she said that so moodily too.
" y/n are you okay" john one of the creators asked.
" yep" she mumbled.
Everyone in the room looked at each other confused. Y/n isnt usually moody. Shes usually happy but lately everyones noticed shes been grumpy and not happy to be on set.
" are you sure" John asked double checking.
" yes I'm fine. Just carry on with the script" she said closing her script. She has no more lines so she didn't see the point in continuing to read it. Besides shes read it before anyway.
" why are you closing your script we're not done" billy asked.
" theres no point in me continuing to read it. I have no other lines" she said angrily.
" you can still read along with us" Jacob said.
" no in fact I'm just going to go because its pointless me being here just like it always is. My character does absolutely nothing"she said walking out.
She knows shes lucky she got this job but its been 7 years and shes done no fun fight scenes. She actually doesnt say more than 10 words each season.
She feels like an extra and she wants an opportunity to show the talent she has.
"Y/n wait" Jacob said chasing after her. He understands how she feels. Hawks been kicked to the side a little bit too.
" what" she said tiredly.
" I know how you feel. Hawks not doing much these days but that's no reason to leave"he said.
" yeah but you have done cool stuff. You had seasons 1,2,3 and 4 to show off what you can do and you still get to do fight scenes. I don't. Besides you've done other projects where your the lead or apart of the main cast. I haven't and thats all I want is a moment to actually get to act and play a big role in something" she said sadly.
Its always been y/n dream to play big challenging roles and she feels stuck here and not in a good way.
Jacob didnt know what to say. She was right. Hes had his moment to shine in this show. She hasn't.
" y/n you'll get your chance. Maybe not on cobra kai but you definitely will in the future and you'll absolutely smash it" Jacob said sweetly.
Y/n smiled feeling a bit better. Jacob was being so sweet to her.
"Thanks" she said softly.
" no problem. Are you going to come back in" he asked.
Y/n shook her head no. Shes going to call her agent and see if she can get some new auditions for something new.
" no I need to try and find something new to try" she said before walking away.
Y/n eventually did get a big main part in something new and just like Jacob said she smashed it.
