Y/n has been really sick lately. She keeps becoming light headed and puking sometimes and even puking up blood. It was confirmed she had cancer just before the karate war began and she was going to tell hawk but he started being an asshole and lets just say she thought he wouldn't care. All he seemed to care about was cobra kai and hurting people even demetri who she told.
Hes been taking care of her making sure shes safe and protected in fights. Which is what he did at the larusso house fight. Any kick that went y/n direction he would jump in not even bothered if he got hurt.
Hawk saw how pale y/n looked and instantly worried. They haven't spoke since the mall fight and shes never in school because shes too sick to be so hes not had any clue about any of her problems.
" demetri" y/n said feeling light headed and like was going to puke.
Demetri was a little preoccupied with the cobras that were trying to fight him and as he was about to turn to see if she was okay someone grabbed his arm and called for hawk to come and break it again.
Y/n was super dizzy so she wasnt fully focused on what happened but she saw a red mohawk running towards demetri and rescuing him.
Demetri was set free and instantly ran to y/n who was sat on the floor trying not to puke all over the floor.
" is she okay" hawk asked kneeling down next to her. He looked so worried.
" its not like you care" y/n said quietly.
Demetri explained she was just sick and he took her to the bathroom where she puked up a load of blood again and he handed her some water.
" you really are the best demetri. I don't know how I would do this without you" she smiled hugging him.
" I'm your friend. I'm not going to let you battle this alone and now hawk has apologised maybe he should know" he said causing y/n to frown.
She didnt want to tell hawk. Hes been a terrible boyfriend. He ditched her for a dojo. He doesn't love her. If he did he would of stayed by her side and not a dojos side.
" no he has no rights to know. Hes like the worlds worst boyfriend. He doesn't give a shit about me. He wouldn't care if I died because hes been acting like I'm dead for months. He hates me. So no I'm not telling him I have cancer" she yelled just as hawk walked in to see if she was okay. He heard everything.
" you have cancer?" his voice broke.
" not that it's any of your business but yes" she said harshly.
A tear rolled down hawks face. The love of his life has been battling cancer for god knows how long and he didn't know. God shes right about him being a terrible boyfriend.
" I'm so sorry. If I was a better boyfriend you would have told me and I could of been there for you" he said sadly.
Y/n scoffed getting mad at him. He has no rights to cry. He hasn't been there in months and now he suddenly cares again.
" yeah I would have but it's too late to pretend you care. I've been dead to you for months because you care more about a dojo than me and demetri. So if I actually died it wouldn't bother you. So save your fucking tears and leave me alone like you have been for months and go break another poor kids arm while he begs you not to" she said slamming the door in his face making cry more from guilt and sadness.
She doesnt have the energy to deal with hawk anymore. Yes she still loves him but she cant help him anymore. She can barely help herself. Hawk just wishes he could have helped her during all this but no instead he had to ruin everything.
