Chapter 7: The Plan
Sarah woke up with pain of her arm it's been awhile since she had some pain killers in her system she sat up on the medical bed and reached over to a bottle of pills she took two pills to help with her pain, but then she heard someone.
"Knock knock" a man at the doorway said
"Smith! I thought you were dead." Sarah said with relief
"Ya know those super serums do work I'll tell you I feel like I can survive an explosion." Smith said as he walked to the bed
"Thank God for those serums" Sarah said
"Don't thank him thank then man who made it." Smith said
"Yeah I should thank Dr.Zodolf for those serums too bad there's only so much he can make." Sarah replied
"Speaking of Zodolf I need your help to find him." Sarah asked
"Huh why's that what you need from him?" Smith questioned
Sarah pulled out documents for the machine and she handed them to Smith
"You know when we saw Sam getting pushed into the machine?" Sarah said
"By the man who betrayed all of us and nearly killed me yeah I saw." Smith said
"Well as I grabbed the documents from Res I saw what seems like a location code for the machine." Sarah said
"Meaning?" Smith replied
"That Sam could still be alive just in a different location." Sarah said with hope
"Sarah... We don't even know where he teleported to and even then how would we find him?" Smith replied
"There's still hope and besides Sam would do the same for us and you know that." Sarah said not breaking eye contact
" *Sighs* I know he would... Alright I'll help but I just don't want to see you hurt when we find his body." Smith replied
"We won't he's tough he knows what he's doing" Sarah said
"Okay the last time I heard Zodolf was in America trying to solve cancer so we'll have to search there." Smith said
"Okay set course to Earth America, but we need to keep this a secret we don't need the U.G on us yet" Sarah said as she laid down
Smith nods and walked out the room and walked to the bridge to set navigation to Earth and once he's done he sat at the chair thinking about what's he doing and then later went to his room to kill time.
Hours went by and the ship broke the atmosphere of Earth and landed in America California where the crew dropped their items they got while and go to their families and Smith and Sarah walked off the ship.
"Guh I hate California" Sarah replied
"I know I do too, but this was the only available spot for our type of ship" Smith replied
"So do you know where Zodolf is in America?" Sarah questioned
"Last time I heard he's in Houston Texas doing experiments on rats or something." Smith replied
As they walked to the vehicle bay they got approached by two men with patches of the U.G logo.
"Welcome back to Earth I hope you had success with your missions" one man said with a smile
"Do you know where Captain Sam is by any chance?" The other man said
"I'm sorry but Sam he didn't make it" Smith said to the men
"Wha- I'm sorry what do you mean he didn't make it?" The first man said
"Means he died on the mission one of our own crew betrayed him and killed him and ran off." Smith replied with half the truth
"Oh... We're sorry for your loss, but did the station get eliminated?" Second man said
"Yes the station blew up by it's core" Smith replied
"Good may Sam's death be not in vain, good work we'll pay you extra for your loss of your captain, but as for his ship we'll have to take it until we find a new captain for the vessel." First man said
"What you can't do that" Sarah said with a bit of anger
"But we can you see we build those ships and assign them to companies that would sell them top dollar and since Sam is dead we are in check to take back our property it's in the system." First man said
"No you can't just do th-" Sarah said but cut off by Smith's hand
"Let it go we need to move, are we done here?" Smith said
"You two are free to go, your payment will be in your account by next week" First man said
The two men walked to the ship to assess the damage if any meanwhile Smith requested his car and the mechanics spawn his car and Smith and Sarah both get in to drive down to Houston.
"AI how long to get to Houston Texas from California." Smith asked
*To get to Houston Texas from California it'll take around two days without stopping 3 days with breaks in-between* the AI answered
"Damn... That's far and I'm not even sure he's there still." Smith said to Sarah
"Well where else would he be?" Sarah replied
"Huh... Hmm... He does have a house up in DC you want to check there?" Smith said
"Well it's closer let's give it a shot." Sarah replied
"Okay let's go" Smith put the car in drive and drove North up to DC.
Sarah looked out the window thinking that if Zodolf doesn't help them then Sam's good as lost she hopes that he does or all of this is for nothing she closed her eyes and fell asleep in the car.
