Ch 14: Helping Hand

Chapter 14: Helping Hand

Sam woke up the next day as he knew that he has some work that he needs to do he looked down at himself and saw that his nano suit is dirty for that he didn't wash it for a week now

"Okay I need a shower badly" Sam said to himself as he got up from his mat and headed to the bathroom with the shower

Sam walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him and he turned on the water in the shower and started to undress and walked into the shower

"Ohhh man that feels good" Sam said as he let the hot water splash on his body

"Okay let's see what we got" Sam said as he skims through the bottles on shampoo and soap

"Okay we got backwoods pine, vanilla with conditioner, and shampoo with coconut...why would you want to smell like a coconut?" Sam thought as he picked up the backwoods pine and put some on his hands and started washing

Sam was about to rinse off the soap until he hears the bathroom door open

"Hey hey woah someone's in here!" Sam said as he covered himself

"Oh sorry I didn't know your in here!" Chilli said as she covered her eyes and backed out

Sam finished his shower and dried off and put back on his nano suit because he didn't have any other clothes he could wear and walked out of the bathroom

"Man I wish I had something else to wear I need to wash this suit" Sam thought as he walked down stairs

"Hey I'm heading to Wendy's house to help her out with some things." Sam said

"Alright mate just be careful out there" Bandit said as he was playing with the girls

Sam opened the door slowly and peaked his head out to look to see if there are dogs out and turns out there's a group of them playing some game

"Great that's not an option hmmm the back" Sam thought as he walked to the back yard and saw the fence dividing her house from the heelers

Sam climbed over the fence and into Wendy's yard and knocked on the back door

"Oh Sam it's you why didn't you use the front door?" Wendy asked

"There's a group of dogs out there I didn't want to be seen." Sam said

"Oh... well come in" she waved him to come inside the house

They walked through the living room and Sam saw a couch in the middle of the room with a TV in front on the wall with statues at the sides and paintings on the walls. They soon walked upstairs into a kitchen with a stove with a vent over top and counter top in the middle of the kitchen Sam didn't pay too much attention to the kitchen as he kept looking at some photos of Wendy with what seems to be a child.

"You have a child?" Sam asked

"Oh you mean Jodo yes she's at her father's for the weekend and that's why I need all the help I can get." Wendy replied as she went to a closet

"Huh okay" Sam said as he thought that Dogs can get married, but can get divorced as well

Wendy pulled out some tools and some cleaning items and hands the cleaning items to Sam

"I need you to clean the living room while I try to fix the vent over the stove." She said

"Alright I'll get to it" Sam replied as he walked down stairs to the living room

2 hours later Sam finished the living room it didn't help that those statues have small cracks were dust can settle

Sam sat on the couch exhausted as he looked over his work and he thought about the picture he saw with Wendy and her child and wondered why didn't it work out when they have a kid they have to look after

After some time Sam got up from the couch and headed upstairs to see Wendy still working on the vent and it seems she's getting frustrated

"Oh why don't you work" She said as she went back underneath it looking at it

"Hey I'm done with the living room" Sam said as he rest his arms on the counter

"Oh your done already that's fast" She said while underneath the vent

"You call that fast? It's been two hours" Sam said in disbelief about how fast he got done

"Well yeah it usually takes Judo 3 hours to finish" She said as she took her head to look at Sam

"Okay... You need help with that?" Sam said as he walked over to the vent

"I don't know it just doesn't work I've tried everything" Wendy said

"Hmm let me see" Sam said

"P.I do a scan to this vent to see what's wrong with it" Sam thought as his AI started to scan

*Scanning... Scanning... Complete it appears that the issue is wiring within is disconnected and needs to be replaced, The panel is on the left side and needs to be unscrewed to access the wires* The AI said

"Thanks P.I I'll get to it" Sam thought to thank his AI and looked at the left side of the vent

"You got a screwdriver?" Sam asked

"Umm I think I do" she said as she went through the tool box

"Here you go" she said as she handed him a screwdriver

Sam opened the panel and found a loose wire and plugged it back in and put back the panel and turned on the vent for it to work again

"Wow that's amazing how did you know?" Wendy said with amazement

"Well you didn't check the wires so I assumed it was a wire." Sam said as he handed back the screwdriver

"Thank you for the help I really appreciate it after that incident" Wendy said

"Not a problem and besides I get to explore a new area" Sam said

After some time later it was getting dark and everyone was going home and it was time for Sam to head back and rest for his day He and Wendy exchanged goodnights and he went to the heelers home and Wendy thought about how to help Sam for his duty and she went inside to think about it more and then later went to bed

Sam walked on the side walk and looked around and saw the street lit up the lamp posts lining the street and looked at the houses in the night he found the front door open and headed inside he walked upstairs and found both Bandit and Chilli outside the door of Bluey and Bingo's room wishing them a goodnight and they walked past Sam and also wished him a goodnight and Sam went into his room

Sam laid on his mat thinking about the situation with Wendy and Jodo even though he never met Jodo he feels bad for her about the things she has to go through

Sam later fell asleep after a long day
