Chapter 26: The Truth
It was night and the fire was out meaning there's no light visible and Sam woke up from noise coming from the woods he sat up to see two outlines of Smith and Sarah and they were asleep not hearing the noise
Sam got out a knife and went to investigate the source of the noise and he pin pointed the noise coming from a bush and he rushed and tackled a figure to the ground
"Wait don't hurt me!" A voice can be heard
"Zodolf?" Sam said as he knew the voice
"Sam?" The voice replied
Sam got off and the figure stood up and got something from his bag and a light shine on both Sam and him
"Holy shit it's really you" Sam said as he hugged him
"Yeah I thought you died" Zodolf said
"Ha they wish I was dead, what are you doing here?" Sam said
"Well as you probably know the men who came here looking for you well they came to kill me and I think I figured why" Zodolf said as he waved his hand for Sam to follow
They eventually stubbled across the body of Rob which confused Sam as why would Zodolf would bring him here
"As you know I gave you your AI right?" Zodolf said
"Yeah what about it?" Sam said as he didn't know where he's leading with this
"I gave your AI the ability that no other AI can do download and infiltrate drives meaning your AI can hack way through any piece of technology you can access." Zodolf said
"That's cool and all, but why give it to me?" Sam said as he went through his AI
"Well your my brother and you get special privileges and the U.G doesn't like that and here." Zodolf said as he handed Sam a drive
"Look through and see what Rob's been doing for them" Zodolf said
Sam took the drive and let his AI scan the drive
*Drive scan complete... playing video footage* the voice said as a video of a man sitting at a desk started
"You know Rob we picked you out well from the academy and I think you can do this job well" The Man said as he looked through a window
"You know the mission with the T.E.G station right?" The Man asked
"Yes sir I do" Rob replied
"Well I want you to go with Sam on that mission and I want you to kill him." The Man said as he turned to look at Rob
"What why?" Rob said as he knew Sam for a month
"Well he's going against us right now and we want him dead and of course if you accept you'll get paid by a man named Res and while your at it kill him for a bonus" The Man said and Sam didn't believe what he's hearing that they lied to Rob to kill him
"Okay" Rob said as the video stopped
Sam sat on a nearby stump to process what the video played and Zodolf walked up to him
"That's not all, they are building a teleporting machine like the one I built, but for war vessels instead" Zodolf said as he handed him pictures of a plan
Sam's eyes widen as this was a cover up to control the universe and not help the universe they want to enslave all life for their gain
"These mother fuckers!" Sam said as he stood up and threw his arms down in rage that he's been lied to by people he thought he could trust
"What can we do?" Sam said as he looked at Zodolf
"Well I know they are building the machine now, but how long we have to stop them I don't know" Zodolf said
Sam all of sudden had an idea for how to stop them
"What if we get the rest of my crew and my vessel and post them near the machine and soon as it's active start shooting down the rest of the vessels that are trying to go through" Sam said as he walked back and forth expecting the plan
"Isn't that a suicide mission?" Zodolf said
"Not if I send a Nationwide broadcast of what there plans are doing" Sam said as he stopped to look at him
"Hmmm yeah that could work" Zodolf said as he pondered about it
"Alright it's settled we'll tell the others about the plan to destroy these back stabbing traitors" Sam said as he started to walk back to camp
"Alright" Zodolf said while following behind
They both reached the campsite and waited until day to start telling the plan to Smith and Sarah
"What?" Smith said as he didn't believe that they would lie to them about the mission
"It's true and that's why we're going to do this and get payback for what they did to us" Sam said
"What can we do?" Sarah asked
"Well your going with Zodolf back to our world and try to get my vessel because we're going to use it as a distraction to the U.G and make them think that they are under attack and don't fully send the war vessels in the portal buying us time to send a video exposing the truth and having them disbanded" Sam said
"I'll be here getting my armor on with power and Zodolf and I will go to a broadcasting network and upload the video and then leave to go to their power source and shut it off turning the machine off in the process" Sam said
Everyone nodded and sent the plan in motion and Zodolf, Smith and Sarah went back to their world and try to get the vessel back
Sam went to the heelers and told them what's going on and they agreed to head back home to let Sam gather his items for his plan
