Chapter 22: Familiar Enemy
Bandit woke up with the sun hitting his face and noticed that the kids didn't wake him up for once which he isn't complaining about
He got up from the bed with Chilli still sleeping and walked out and headed to the kitchen which he smelled coffee which was weird
He eventually got to the doorway to the kitchen to see Sam sitting at the counter with a cup of coffee in his hand
"Morning mate" Bandit said which made Sam jump a bit as he didn't hear him
"Oh hey Bandit" Sam said as he took a sip from his cup
"You mind if I have a cup?" Bandit asked
"If you don't mind it cold" Sam replied
"Cold? When did you make coffee?" Bandit asked
"3AM" Sam said as he took another sip
"3AM? What had you up at 3AM?" Bandit asked as he went to make a new batch of coffee
"Oh...uh I don't think you need to know it's something you wouldn't understand" Sam said as he had a dead look on his face
"Hmm alright I'm willing to hear what you have to say mate I'm here for you, you know that" Bandit said as he went to wake up the kids
"Yeah" Sam said as he sounded dead
Bandit went to Bluey's and Bingo's room and opened the door and woke them up
"Alright kids time to wake up for breakfast" He said as they both woke up
"Oh it's morning already" Bingo said tiredly
"That it is mate" Bandit said
"I didn't get a good amount of sleep last night" Bingo said while she rubbed her eyes
"Oh why's that Bingo" Bandit said as he kneeled down to her level to hear her better
"It was Sam I heard him last night and that he had a nightmare which scared him" she said
"Oh a nightmare huh thanks for telling me Bingo" Bandit said as he stood up and walked back to the kitchen
Bandit sat next to Sam at the counter and looked at him considering if he should push the truth or not
"Bingo told me about the nightmare and I know you might not want to talk about it, but it can help to talk about it" Bandit said as he tried to put his hand on Sam's shoulder but that made him flinch and he took his hand back
Bandit pause for a moment to think about what could have him like this
"Was I in this nightmare?" He questioned
Sam sat there in silence and Bandit waiting for a response and just as he just about to get up he heard Sam talk
"Yes" Sam said as he didn't look at him
"Okay what was I doing in this nightmare?" Bandit asked
Sam took his time to respond to that question
