Ch 27: Set In Motion

Chapter 27: Set In Motion

Zodolf, Smith and Sarah were standing right outside of a repair dock and they can see Sam's vessel inside collecting dust

"Alright what's the plan" Smith said as he looked at the two

"Well I've done research that they have a dead shift at around 3AM and right now it's 2AM and they would switch around 2:30 and that's the best change we got to get the vessel" Zodolf said as the two nodded and waited for 2:30

It's now time to strike and the three head near the wall and stayed out of light to keep there stealth and they eventually found a hole that some machinery had made while back

They made to the vessel and the back door was locked which made the three improvise their plan

"Alright you two keep a look out while I hack this door to open" Zodolf said as he started to work on the door

Smith and Sarah kept a look out and they did have some close calls, but they didn't get spotted and Zodolf eventually got the door to open

"Come quickly" Zodolf said as he waved them to come in

Both of them ran to the door and headed inside and Zodolf closed the door behind them and they started to walk to the control room

After some time they made it and Zodolf went to the control panel and started to work to get the vessel operational and then he saw that someone needs to head to the navigation room to control the vessel

"Sarah I need you to get to the navigation room and when the lights turn on you can fly it because I can't control it here" Zodolf said as Sarah started to jog to the navigation room and waited

"Alright this should start it" Zodolf said and as he flipped the last switch the vessel started up, but it caused the engines to fire up which made noise that alerted the repair dock

"Someone's in that vessel!" A worker shouted as another flipped a switch that caused an alarm to start

"That's not good" Smith said

"Uhh here I'll open the doors to the armory go get suited up and get ready for a fight" Zodolf said as he went back on the panel

"Alright I'll be back" Smith said as he ran to the armory

Smith made it to the armory and grabbed a rifle with spare energy cells and grabbed some armor and ran back to the control room

On the outside of the vessel there's a group of men with rifles and they were ready to breach the vessel

"Charge is set!" One of the men said

"Alright on my command!" The leader said

"Alright I'm back" Smith said

"Good they are about to breach!" Zodolf said as he hid behind the console

The door blasted open and men started to run in Smith opened fire on the men killing two and the rest fell back behind the frame of the blasted door and returned fire

"Come on Sarah!" Smith said as he returned fire as well

"Alright made it" Sarah said to herself as she went to the control panel she started to get overwhelmed

"Uhh I don't know how to fly this thing?" Sarah said as she looked for a manual of some kind

Smith killed two more men and they fully retreat out of the vessel and then the vessel flew and hit the wall in front

"Okay that's forward noted" Sarah said as she turned the stick and caused the vessel to turn which hit the men outside

"Okay that's to turn" Sarah said

Then the vessel took flight as the it flew up in the air causing Smith to fall on the ground

"Alright we're going somewhere" Sarah said as Zodolf rushed into the room

"Here let me control that" Zodolf said as he took control and the vessel flew smoothly and they traveled out of the atmosphere were they are safe for now

Smith eventually came into the room

"You do not know how to fly" Smith said as he sat on a chair

"Hey it's not bad for the first time" Sarah said with a smile

"Yeah whatever, now where too?" Smith said

"Alright now that we are out of there I'm going to get Sam here" Zodolf said as he stood up from the panel

"Keep the vessel steady while I'm gone" Zodolf said

"Don't worry I'll be in control" Smith said

"Hey it was my first time flying don't blame me!" Sarah said which made Smith chuckle

"Don't fight you two I'll be back" Zodolf said as he opened a portal and headed inside

*In the Blueyverse*

"Alright that should be my stuff sorted" Sam said as he looked apon the items he had collected from the men he killed

Then a portal opened and Sam turned to look to see Zodolf came through

"Hey brother how'd the plan go?" Sam said

"It had some rough edges, but we pulled through" Zodolf said as he looked around the room

"Wow you spent a month in here?" Zodolf said

"Eh it's not bad as outside have you seen those spiders?" Sam said with a shiver

"Yeah can't imagine that, anyway ready to go?" Zodolf said as he opened the portal

"Yeah just let me collect my stuff real quick" Sam said as he picked up all the items and headed to the portal

"Just to know I did bump up the time so you can fully collect your stuff" Zodolf said as he went through

"Alright" Sam said as he also went through

There's a knock on the door and it was opened and Bluey walked inside

"Sam do you want to play butter-" She stopped as she looked at the portal

"Bluey what did he say?" Bingo said as she walked in and looked at the portal as well

"What is that?" Bingo said

"I don't know?" Bluey said

"You think Sam's in there?" Bingo said

"Maybe... let's find out" Bluey said as she went into the portal with Bingo behind her
