"It's Friday, I'm not doing anything this weekend, Why?" Damari asked, blowing out smoke as he sat in his car on the phone.
"I'm hungry, and I don't want to spend my own money." She pouted, showing her face in the camera. He chuckled, taking a screenshot of it.
"You want me to come and get you or drop it off?" He asked, smashing the blunt in the ashtray. "You can come and get me," she mumbled, turning to lie on her side.
"You home alone?" he asked, to which she nodded her head. "Mere is at some basketball camp with his dad and the other two are with my grandma for the weekend and then on Monday too." she spoke, "Mhm, I'm on the way then." He mumbled.
"Can I spend the night at your place?" she asked, "We can have our first sleepover." she smiled, as he chuckled.
"Yeah, what you want to do?" he asked, driving down the street towards her house.
"Um, I don't know we'll figure it out when we get there. But I do got uno, I can beat you in that again." She shrugged, getting out of bed and setting her phone down as she changed.
"Never that, I let you beat me that one time because you finna' cry." He spoke, shaking his head. London gasped, "I was not about to cry, stop lying." She laughed, knowing that was a lie.
She and Damari got into a heated game of uno and he was on a winning streak of 5. and the last game had money on the line so she was more than stressed out.
"ok, London. You ready or do you need more time?" he asked, parking the car. "I'm ready, can you get my bags?" she asked, crossing her purse across her body.
"Yeah, here I come." He mumbled, getting out of the car. "Mhmk," she mumbled as she hung up.
She was more than excited to spend the full weekend with Damari. She didn't feel as bad anymore. Only because after Ja texted her asking to go out and she said no, he stopped texting her back.
she didn't feel like wasting her time, so she would have an innocent sleepover with Damari. They established that they were going to take it slow and get to know each other.
This would be a perfect opportunity to do just that, she needed to get her mind off of everything anyways.
she felt comfortable around Damari to do just so, when she was around him she didn't think of her mom, ja, her future, or anything. She was only in the moment with Damari.
