"Where have you've been? I haven't seen you in weeks; damn near months, Jania!" Michelle asked, watching as her daughter walked into the house.
"I was safe." She shrugged, noticing Lauren and her grandmother sitting on the couch next to her mom. "Hi auntie." she smiled, looking around.
"Hi, NiNi."Lauren eyed her, as she crossed her leg over the other. "Jania, I asked where we're you, don't ignore me."
"Girl bye." she rolled her eyes, walking into the back room.
"Jania! I'm not done talking to you!" Michelle yelled, "I don't care." she shrugged, slamming her door behind her.
"Can you shut up? I'm trying to sleep and I don't need you to be slamming doors cause your mad." Her younger sister~ Taylor spoke, rolling her eyes as she threw a pillow at Jania.
"Jania, Don't slam no fucking doors in my house!" Michelle yelled, coming into their shared room.
"Y'all i'm trying to sleep!" taylor fussed, rolling her eyes. "Tay, go sleep in your sister's room." Michelle spoke, rolling her eyes. Taylor huffed walking past the two girls.
"What's your problem? You never acted like this with me, talk to me baby." she spoke, sitting down on Jania's bed patting the spot next to her.
"Mom, I can't fucking win." she huffed, rolling her eyes leaning her head down on Michelle's shoulder.
"What happened?"
"It's Ja, he ended things with me to be with Liyanna." she cried, covering her face. "Don't you think it's for the best? Like he wasn't treating you well, he's your cousins child's father, and in general no one would ever want to come third to a man. Take this as a sign to leave all bullshit men alone." Michelle spoke, rubbing her back.
"I did ruin things with London. Should I talk to her?"
"When your ready, do everything on your own terms." she spoke, shrugging her shoulders.
With a deep sigh, "she probably hates me."
Jania was a stubborn, hardheaded girl. Saying sorry and doing things to make people feel seen wasn't her.
When she did things to people she didn't feel sorry, but with London she did.
Now, with Ja leaving her for Liyanna. She felt some of the pain that London held. But it was different, London was pregnant and Jania was her cousin.
