"Thank you for this, and I'm sorry for pulling you away from doing your stuff." London said to Debora as she sat in the passenger seat of her car.
"Ugh, no thank you. We needed to get away from all of that. But we'll be back in time for the burial." She sighed, waving it off. She began to drive as London looked over at her analyzing her features.
Damari was her twin, they looked exactly alike. From the small birthmark under their left eyes, deep dimples when they smiled. Their skin color, hazel eyes. He was her spitting image.
The only difference was the heavy bags under her eyes, "How's your baby, London?" Angel asked from the backseat.
"She's good, just hurting my back by the second. Making me gain weight like crazy too." London chuckled, Debora nodded.
"Girl having angel made me feel like I have carrying two big ole watermelons inside." She shook her head, laughing a little.
Angel smacked her lips. "That's going to be one pretty girl. And she's going to have a lot of love." Debora smiled, tapping her finger along to the bass of the music.
London nodded smiling softly rubbing her belly. They stayed silent for the whole car ride to the cemetery. "Angel can you go wait with your aunties and cousins while I talk to London real quick?" Debora asked, putting the car in park as she looked up at her youngest through the rear view mirror.
Angel nodded, getting out of the car.
"I wanna give you something before we go to in." She sighed, going into her purse taking out a set of keys.
"Ah, I can't go back into his house, nor can I pick up his car without crying. I wanted you to have it." She said, trying to hand them to her.
"I can't," She shook her head. "Yeah you can. You gotta get your stuff, and you can just have the car. It's useless to me, I got everything I wanted from him yesterday. I'm ok." She said, sliding the keys in Londons purse.
"You don't have to do it today, just tell me you will. My gift to you and the baby. Whatever you don't want just sell it or throw it away." She shrugged, leaning over the console to wrap her arms around London.
