Damari had only been in love twice in his whole life.
Once with a girl named Nia, and then London. Nia and him were deeply in love, well it was more so puppy love. They were only 14. It felt real though, Like he wanted to be with her 24/7.
Everyone knew about their relationship, they were always with each other. People just knew they would end up together.
When they turned 15 she moved out of state with her family due to her brother acting out in the streets. Damari hated going to school after that, he didn't find anything enjoyable anymore.
He really missed her, hadn't given any other girl a chance after that. Around that time his dad had gotten sentenced to life. He really felt lost.
Damari was always a quiet person, stayed to himself most of the time. So when East came around, he really hated him.
He would always force him out of the house to go and run the streets with him. He didn't want to do any of it, But Damari could really say East toughened him up.
He loved and hated him, He loved him for making sure his sister and mom were always ok. Food on the table, roof over their heads.
He just hated him for the toughness, Damari wasn't soft. He was human, and with East he felt like he couldn't be that.
He felt like he couldn't cry, hurt, be in pain. So he always held that in, grew that masculine spirit. Men never cry is what he believed in.
Once Dee really got a perspective into Andres life, he realized he wasn't a good man at all. He pretended like it for his mom, him, the "friends" he had, the women he dated.
But he was a deadbeat, horrible partner, friend, and did everything for the attention. He was a man that abused the drunken state of a woman.
He started to resent him more once he got with London. How much he hurt her, even though she wasn't biologically his she was raising his kids. Something she didn't have to do.
Something no one did for her. And another thing was how he didn't vist him in the hospital. Not once, but claimed that he was handling it.
But we're not here for that, Because Damari could go on for days about how much he didn't like East.
