Chapter 19
It was a hot summer as my feet were feeling the green grass. We had a picnic at the well-known small hill of Suredale. I saw my sisters laughing together with my parents. They were eating watermelon, sitting at the picnic blanket. I cannot help but smile widely as I glance at them from afar.
The wind blew harder, my short hair and small dress began to dance with it.
"Why are you alone here? Are you lost?" a voice spoke behind me.
I turned to see a boy from the looks of him, he looked eleven. By this time, I was only eight years old.
"I am not alone. Sino naman nagsabi sa 'yo no'n?"
"Huh? I can't seem to understand a few things you said. But I am glad, you're not alone." he smiled as his doe eyes became smaller from the sunlight.
My attention was instantly diverted when I saw a butterfly fluttering on the flower field. I didn't know I was already following the butterfly. My eyes couldn't take what it had seen.
"Wow. It's so beautiful!"
"It is. And of course, you too." I jumped in my position when I heard his voice again.
"Were you following me? Are you a bad guy?"
He chuckled while he slowly closed his eyes. On his hand, I saw a flower. He slowly raised it in front of his face and smelled it.
"Does this handsome boy look evil to you?" he uttered and locked eyes with me.
I blinked a few times as his question keeps on repeating in my head. What kind of witchcraft is this? Is this boy for real?
"Please s-stop following me."
"Then may I perhaps give you this," he handed me the flower.
He's a stranger, I am so well aware of it. But why and how did I find myself holding the flower while I am also smiling at him?
"What is your name?"
I only stared and smiled at him.
"It's fine. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Harvin Ethan Lee. I hope when we meet again you'll remember me, mysterious girl." he winked at me.

"I love you. I don't want to share your attention with anyone." Harvin uttered in a very serious tone.
I don't know what to feel in this situation. It's a mix feeling of delight and annoyance of his baby moments. He's sulking again like a baby who lost his favorite candy. Oh, Harvin. . .
"Kikiligin na sana ako, Harvin. Ang pababy mo po masyado!" sabi ko naman bago ko magaang piningot ang ilong niya.
"Aw. Ouch, Sam!" daing niya sabay himas sa medyo namumula niya na ngayong ilong.
"Awiee, shall I kiss those pain away?"
"Would you?"
"In your dreams, Mr. Lee!" I made a face and stuck my tongue out to annoy him even more.
"Ah, I should've expected that it was a tease. You're always a tease, Sam." he said while shaking his head disappointedly.
