Chapter 19

Pagkagising ko sa umaga ay tumakbo agad ako sa baba para maabutan si dad. I'm going to tell him my relationship with Aiden. I don't want to keep a secret from him. His my dad, after all.

I saw him reading a newspaper tell about crimes he wanted to solve. I sit beside him and sip on a glass of water in front of me. My dad fixed his eyeglasses and looked at me.

"Do you have something to tell me?"

"Ahmm dad, I have a boyfriend..." nahihiya kong sabi at pinisil ang kamay ko. He looks at me without emotion. I flash horror in my face.

He looks at his back, so I follow him. I saw Aiden dripping with his own sweat. An 'o' form in my mouth when I saw him serving my dad with a food.

"Is this man beside me your boyfriend, Ashiana?" Dad coldly said and faced me with his eyebrows up.

Tumayo ako at nilapitan si Aiden. Hinawakan ko ang kanyang braso ng mahigpit at itinago siya sa likod kahit malabong hindi sya makita. "Dad, Aiden is good. he's smart, he can help our business and also handsome we will make a good offspring."

I shut my mouth when dad angrily looked at me. Doon ko nalaman kung ano ang mga pinagsasabi ko. Shit! Wrong move, Ashiana.

Galit ko ding pinukulan ng tingin si Aiden ng wala siyang hiyang tinawanan ako. Gago ba sya? Baka mapatay sya ni dad! Iniisip ko lang sya.

"Don't be like dad with Aiden. He's modest on his action he won't do that without my permission. He knows I disapprove to that idea, Ashiana."

"I know, I know that, I'm sorry! I just thought you wouldn't accept him. He's been rude to you,"

Humalakhak si dad at nilapitan si Aiden. Inakbayan pa ito na akala mo sila ay magkumpare. I shake my head and bite my lips. So all this time, he's okay with being a relationship with Aiden? So para saan pa iyong malalamig na titig niya na parang hindi niya gusto ang ibabalita ko. Tsk.

"I'm okay with Aiden as long as he won't hurt you. Mababaliw muna ako bago ko hayaang masaktan ka ng iba, Ashiana. I value you more than my life."

I hug dad and kiss his chick. I look at Aiden, and he just gives me an assurance smile that everything is okay. Dad didn't force him to serve, hw voluntary do it because he also wants to get along with my father.

Sabay kami pumasok, and now I am inside his car. This is my third time to be in his car, and this time, I am comfortable sitting beside him. I open music on his car and listen.

"Where's your mom?" He suddenly asks. Natagalan ako bago sagutinin sya, naramdaman ko ang pagtitig niya saakin, inaantay na sumagot ako.

"I don't know where she is now. She's not okey with dad, my family is not perfect just like what other says, this makes me hard to communicate with others and afraid of getting hurt, so please don't hurt my feelings and leave me unnoticed."

Matagal niya akong tinitigan saka itinigil sa tabi ang sasakyanm. Taka ko siyang tinignan pero mabilis na halik lamang ang ginawad niya saakin bago hinawakan at pinisil ang hita ko at hinawakan ang kamay ko.

"I won't,  unless you are the one who wants me to let go."

I smiled at him, and I just received a kiss on my forehead. He started the engine again and drove away to our school.

I sit beside the window, and he sits in front beside Liam. They have something to talk about. He will tell me naman if their is something bothering him. I trust him. I do believe that trust is the most important in a relationship.

I finished my activity pretty well and received a perfect score. Lumabas ako papuntang canteen to buy food. When I came back to our room, I saw Traciel beside Aiden.

Inilapag ko ang drinks and snacks sa table ni Aiden. He looks at me, worried, but I just smile to him. Wala namang dapat ikaselos.

Papunta na ako sa upuan ko ng hawakan ni Aiden ang kamay ko at iginiya sa tabi niya para umupo ako. I saw Traciel move backward and distance herself to Aiden.

"I'm here to ask Aiden if he can teach me legal since he is also taking it, and we will be studying together to passed our board exam, if it is okey to you."

I look at Aiden. I didn't know he want to advance the board. I must be proud of him. But some part me are disappointed that we are in relationships yet I don't know anything from him.

Tumango ako at nginitian si Traciel. Iyon na lang ang magagawa ko para mairespeto pa rin ang pagkakaibigan nilang dalawa. "It's good, Aiden. You can also teach her to master your knowledge." Wala na akong mahanap na salita kaya iyon na lang ang nasabi ko.

Aiden looks at me. I hold his hand above the table. "It's okay, I really mean it. I trust you. I also don't want that I will be the reason why you failed."

He kissed me on my forehead. "Thank you, love. You're so mature and make me fall in love more." Traciel cough, nahihiya akong tumayo at nagpaalam sa kanila.

I gave them a space to learn, and I'll take thsi time also to review for my finals. I did the right thing, right? I should not be threatened. Aiden already gave me an assurance. All I need to do is trust him.

I go back to my activities and finish it on time. I want this weekend to spend my time bonding with Aiden. If we need to study together, I will. If I need to cook and bake for him, I will, and if he wants me to draw him, I will do it also. My time will be for Aiden.

I love him, and I would do everything for him.
