"It's almost 6 in the morning baby, come on close your eyes for a little bit"
"After this is over" she says
"You are so stubborn sometimes"
"I know" she says grinning
"How is your sister connected to this?" I ask
"Mhm she is friends with veebha and has been keeping checks on me"
"Okay well time to figure this out" I say grabbing my phone
I dialled veebha's number and put it on speaker
"Manik what are you doing?" She asks
"Shh be a good little girl for me and stay quiet. Let me see what is going on" I whisper kissing her lips
she nods like a baby caressing the back of my neck as she sits in my lap.
"Hello" she answered
"Hey veebha"I say
"Hi baby, how are you?"
"Good, you?"
"Great"
"Mhm so I had a couple questions for you"
"Questions? Baby its 6 in the morning"
"Mhm I know, but I jsut heard something and I thought I should clear it up with you"
"Whats up" she asks, not an ounce of regret in her voice
"So nandini"
"Okay I don't give a shit about her"
"She told me that you are pregnant" I whispered trying to sound like I was surprised and wanted this
"That fucking ahhh, listen manik I don't care how she put it but I am not lying"
"Ya ya don't worry about ti, I know you aren't. You would never"
"Its been hard manik, not having you with me" she is so fucking fake
"We should mhm we should meet for lunch today to talk more" I suggest
"Ya, of course" she sounded happy
"Can you please bring the sonography reports, ultrasounds. I jsut want to know what I missed"
"Mhm I, you can just come to other appointments manik" she said
Oh hell to the fucking no, I know she is 100% lying
"No please, I want to see my child's first sonography's" I say
"Mhm okay"
"Kay, ill see you in a few hours, ill text you the address" I said
"Okay, bye manik"
I cut the call and got up making nandini squeal a little
"Shh quiet" I order kissing her cheeks
She did pout at me, an angry pout
"Manik I"
"Quiet baby girl, shh not a single word" I say grabbing my laptop
I sat back down on the bed with her still on me, I readjusted her so her back rested against my chest, her legs sprawled out in between mine. I placed a laptop on our legs turning it on
she tilted her head a little to look at me with those beautiful innocent eyes which were angry at this point, not serious angry just playful I believe
"Yes" I said as I logged into my laptop
