We watched the sky for a while until manik pulled back a little going on his knee confusing me
"Mani" I whisper
"I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend on homecoming night but things didn't go well however I did have something planned for tonight but seeing your surprise im glad I didn't bring you to mine because this is perfect. This is so beautiful. Yet im too selfish to another day without asking even though you beat me to it"
I giggle seeing his expressions
"Nandini ever since you stepped in my life I have wanted nothing more than to ask you. Nandini will you be my girlfriend?" He asks
"Yes hehe yesss pleaseee" I say giggling
He got up picking me up as he twirled me around in his arms, making me giggle.
"Hehehe maniiii"
"You are so beautiful, did I mention that today?" He asked as we walked closer to the beach, me still in his arms
"Mhm yes yes you did" I chuckle
"I know you wanted to wear that black dress but can I be honest"
I nodded at him
"I like you in red and don't wear that dress okay, she can have it. Dont ever wear something she has worn"
"Its okay mani, when di and I were younger we would wear the same clothes" I told him half the truth
"Does't matter, not anymore. If she wears something, you don't wear it, and if she grabs stuff from your room again I need you to move your clothes to my closet"
"Manik its not that serious"
"It is, Nandini she tries walking over you like you mean nothing and that's not acceptable. I have only been quiet because you tell me to but she can't be so"
'Shhh, it's fine. You saw na I stood up for myself right?" I ask
"I did love and I'm so proud of you for that" he says placing a kiss on my forehead
We watched the waves for a while and then I noticed Manik's tired eyes, he didn't say anything but I was so stupid because I slept and he didn't which means he still hadn't slept in so long
"Manik" I whispered caressing his face still In his arms
"Hmm" he hums looking down at me
"Lets go home"
"Why? What's wrong? Are you tired?" He asked
"No, but I know you are plus I have something for you at home"
"Shortcake, im fine. Im not too tired plus we have another day off tom"
"No please, come on lets go home"
He leans down kissing my lips
"You are so beautiful my love" he whispered as we walked to the car, well he walked and I made myself comfortable in his arms haha
Manik drove us home and not he way home we were talking about how college has been, adn everything else. When we got home, manik hopped in the shower so I grabbed the rose bouquet I got him and placed it in a vase for him, placing it on his study table
I laid down on his bed waiting for him, he came out shirtless whihc is a sight to watch, or drool over I suppose. I mean he doesn't usually come out shirtless but the handful of times he has, its been hard not to stare.
"Did you get me roses, shortcake?" He asks walking to the roses
"I did, I just couldn't hide them in your car so I left them here"
