I was finishing getting my shoes on when there was a knock on the front door. I smiled knowing he was right on time. I rushed to the door and smiled as I opened it to see Chris standing there.
"Hey." I said and he smiled.
"Hey." Chris said taking in my outfit of my cute summer dress and he smiled. "You look incredible." Chris said and I smiled the blush rising from my chest to my cheeks.
"Thanks. You look amazing too." I said. He smiled.
"Ready to go?" Chris asked and I nodded as I grabbed my purse, and we headed out of the house. Before we could get off the porch Chris took my hand and pulled me closer to him. Our bodies weren't flush together but close enough. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. I smiled when we broke apart and he was smiling at me.
"Better." Chris said and I giggled. We continued to walk to the car, and he opened my car door for me.
"So, what's the plan tonight, Evans?" I asked as he got in the car. Once he pulled out of my driveway, he took ahold of my hand that was on my lap. He smiled and then looked to see I have tennis shoes on.
"Well, I'm glad you wore comfy shoes. We are going to be a food crawl around Boston Common. It's something I have always wanted to do but never had anyone to do it with." Chris said and I smiled.
"None of your friends or family wanted to do it?" I asked and he sighed.
"Not really. I mean we grew up just outside Boston, so we always come in on weekends as teenagers. We saw everything. Right now, though I just want a Boston date night of just Chris and Geneva." Chris said and I smiled.
"I love it. Where to first?!" I asked excitedly.
"Well somewhere where everybody knows your name." Chris said and I started laughing.
"The Cheers Bar?" I asked and he nodded. I got super excited as Chris parking a parking lot near the bar. Once we got out of the car Chris took my hand and we headed into the bar. I smiled as we grabbed a small table against the back wall.
"So, you bring me to the bar from the show that is on at like 5am and no one watches anymore?" I asked and Chris winked at me with a smile.
"If no one watches it Geneva, how do you know it's on at 5am?" Chris asked sarcastically and we both laughed. The waitress came walking over and it was clear she noticed Chris right away but he didn't seem to let it bother him.
"What can I get you two?" She asked and we looked at the menu.
"I'll have a Guinness." Chris said and then she looked at me.
"A Boston Breeze please?" I asked and she nodded with a nice smile.
"Also, I would like to put in an order of the combo platter." Chris said and she nodded and walked away. Chris reached for my hand, and I placed mine in his.
