The night carried on with lots of laughs and singing. Stanley and Felicity got up and did a rendition of Don't Go Breaking my Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee. Emily Blunt got up and sang Kelly Clarkson Since U Been Gone and John graced us all with a performance of Proud Mary, moves and all, almost like his Lip Sync show performance.
"Alright, I think it's time for Eva to get up and perform!" Emily said.
"No! I don't think I can...this is nerve wrecking." I said with a laugh.
"More nerve wrecking than the bar?" Chris asked and I groaned.
"Well, that worked out for me once." I said and winked at Chris.
"Right, so maybe I don't want her to sing...she picked up a good-looking guy once when she sang." Chris said and wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him. We all started laughing.
"Well, I think I do have an idea for a song, have to make sure it's available though." I said and John handed me the book. Chris tried to look over my shoulder, but I hid the selection from him. Once I got the code I went up and on the small stage and everyone gave a cheer as I put in the number and the song started playing.
"This is to you." I said to Chris, and he winked at me.
🎵 The moon is high
Like your friends were the night that we first met
Went home and tried to stalk you on the internet
Now I've read all of the books beside your bed
The wine is cold
Like the shoulder that I gave you in the street
Cat and mouse for a month or two or three
Now I wake up in the night and watch you breathe
(Ayy)
Kiss me once cause you know I had a long night (oh)
Kiss me twice cause it's gonna be alright (uh)
Three times cause I've waited my whole life (one, two, one, two, three, four)
I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings
Uh-huh, that's right
Darling, you're the one I want, and
I hate accidents, except when we went from friends to this
Uh-huh, that's right
Darling, you're the one I want
In paper rings, in picture frames, in dirty dreams
Oh, you're the one I want
In the winter, in the icy outdoor pool
When you jumped in first, I went in too
I'm with you, even if it makes me blue, which takes me back
To the color that we painted your brother's wall
Honey, without all the exes, fights, and flaws
We wouldn't be standing here so tall, so
(Ayy)
Kiss you once cause I know you had a long night (oh)
Kiss you twice cause it's gonna be alright (uh)
Three times cause you waited your whole life (one, two, one, two, three, four), aah
I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings
Uh-huh, that's right
Darling, you're the one I want, and
I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this
Uh-huh, that's right
Darling, you're the one I want
In paper rings, in picture frames, in dirty dreams
Oh, you're the one I want
I want to drive away with you
I want your complications too
I want your dreary Mondays
Wrap your arms around me, baby boy
I want to drive away with you
I want your complications too
I want your dreary Mondays
Wrap your arms around me, baby boy
Uh-huh🎵I walked off the stage and sat in Chris's lap so I could see him and he laughed as did everyone else and I started singing again.

You're the one I want, one I want
You're the one I want...🎵Once I was done singing everyone was clapping and cheering. I gave Chris a small kiss getting off his lap as I returned the mic to the stand on the stage.
"So, you've done this kind of thing before?" Felicity asked and I nodded.
"My twin brother works and co-owns a bar and they have an open mic night every once in a while, and I have performed there." I said and Chris smiled as I sat next to him.
"And that's how you two met?" John asked.
"Yeah, she performed a song, and it was freaky since it seemed to go with a conversation, I had been having with my Ma earlier that day and my brother at that moment. It was like fate." Chris said.
"You never told me that. You just said you liked the song." I said and Chris looked a little shocked.
"I swear I told you this." Chris said and I shook my head.
"You walked over, told me you liked the song and then you said you didn't have anything else planned to say." I said and everyone laughed.
"Smooth Chris." Emily said. I smiled as the conversation switched but I just got thinking about that night and everything since.
💛 💛 💛
We said goodbye to everyone at the end of the night, Emily making me promise I would go to the Pain Hustler premier with Chris. We got to the car Chris opened my door for me and I got in the car. The car ride was silent, Chris held my hand but kept stealing glances of me as I looked out of the window.
Once we got back to the house we walked inside, and Chris sighed.
"What's wrong?" Chris asked as we walked into the bedroom.
"Did you approach me in the bar because you liked me or because the song designated to something you were having a conversation about?" I asked and Chris groaned as he sat on the side of the bed and took off his shoes.
"Geneva..."
"Chris, seriously...I know what song I sang that night, and it semi worries me." I said.
"Worries you? Why?!" Chris asked.
"Because Chris, were you that desperate to have normal girlfriend that when I sang that song it just hit you or were you really attracted to me?" I asked and Chris groaned. He got up from the bed and came over to stand in front of me and took both my hands.
"I wanted to talk to you because the song attracted me to you yes, but once I got over to you and got you, I just wanted you, I wanted to get to know you. I know I ran soon after and made you wait, that was only because having someone like you in my life is different and I was just watching out for you and your privacy and safety." Chris said and I sighed.
"Why not just tell me?" I asked.
"I honestly thought I did. I'm sorry. I mean yes you sang Ordinary Girl but you were less than ordinary to me." Chris said and released a hold on one of my hands and placed it on my cheek. "More like extraordinary." Chris said and I just shook my head and laughed.
"Wow...you can be super cheesy sometimes." I said and Chris laughed.
"But you love it."
"Maybe..." I said and he smiled. He leaned in and gave me a small kiss.
"So, paper rings huh?" Chris asked when we broke apart and I laughed but nodded.
"Yep, you're the one I want." I said and he smiled.
"Good to know." Chris said.
