After dinner I thought we were going back to the room, but Chris steered me towards the back exit to the hotel and we headed out to the beach. I took off my wedge heels and carried them in my hand. We were walking down the beach and I looked at Chris who was looking at me.
"What?" I asked and Chris just shook his head and shrugged.
"Nothing, I just love sharing these experience with you." Chris said and I smiled as he leaned down and gave me a small kiss.
"I love sharing these experiences with you too." I said and placed my head on his arm as we walked and Chris sighed contently.
We just walked in silence, and I heard the waves crashing into the shore. This was the most at peace I had been in a long time, and I knew this could be my life, this was my life now but if Chris ever wanted to make this official it would be my life. Being with him, traveling, being a family...having a family. Would we have a family? We never discussed kids or anything and I didn't know what was going to happen. I needed to broach the subject...
"So that's great about Britney and Gary right?" I asked breaking the silence and Chris chuckled.
"Yeah they seem happy and I think they will be awesome parents." Chris said and I smiled with a nod.
"It's been awhile since a baby has been in the family. I mean if we want to go as far as saying Cecelia was the last one." I said.
"Last for us was my niece Stella, so yeah a new baby will be nice." Chris said. I didn't know what else to say. "Eva...are you trying to ask me something?" Chris asked and I was thankful he said something.
"I mean just getting your opinions on babies, maybe having a family of your own..." I said and he stopped walking and he turned to face me.
"Geneva, I have always wanted a family it was always just about finding the right person..." Chris said and I slightly nodded.
"Makes sense." I said.
"Well I think -..." Chris started to say and then stopped when we heard a woman squealing a little further down the beach.
"YES! OH MY GOD YES!" She said and we saw the guy down on one knee proposing. I smiled watching them embrace as he slipped the ring on her finger and Chris smiled at me.
"That's wonderful for them." I said and Chris nodded.
"Yeah it is..." Chris said and then let go of the ring box in his pocket he was concealing. "You ready to head back?" Chris asked and I nodded as we walked back towards the hotel. We passed the couple who just got engaged and they were trying to get the perfect picture and it wasn't working.
"Would you like me to take it for you?" I asked and they looked at Chris and I. They noticed who Chris was and nodded. I took their phone and took a couple photos for them. Then the man looked at Chris.
"Could we possibly get some with you as well?" He asked and Chris nodded as I took those photos as well.
"Thank you so much!" The girl asked as I handed her back her phone.
"No problem, congratulations you two." I said and they smiled. Chris took my hand and we continued back inside to the hotel and got to the room. Once inside I yawned and Chris smiled.
"Why don't you get ready for bed, I mean its getting late." Chris said.
"It's 11pm." I said and Chris laughed but nodded.
"And we had a huge flight today that you barely slept for..." Chris said and I groaned knowing he was right. I walked into the bedroom part of the suite and got ready for bed and then saw Chris sitting on the couch in the living portion.
"You coming to bed?" I asked.
"Yeah in a little bit, I want to go over lines and stuff for tomorrow." Chris said and I nodded. I walked over to him and passionately kissed him.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too. Good night." Chris said and I walked to the bedroom and shut the door.
***CHRIS POV***
I walked out to the balcony and shut the door. I started a conference call with 2 people who knew about tonight's plans.
"Hey." I said once I knew they both picked.
"Is it just you or is Geneva there too?" Gary asked excitedly and I groaned.
"Just me." I said.
"Oh god Chris, did she turn you down?" Lisa asked.
"No, I didn't even get to ask. As I was about to ask her another couple was on the beach and he asked his girlfriend to marry him. I didn't think it would be right to piggyback off of that." I said. They both sighed.
"So what are you going to do?" Gary asked.
"I don't know. I would love to do it here but I think it's kind of soiled now..." I said.
"Yeah I get that point." Lisa said.
"I'll just have to go back to the drawing board..." I said.
"You'll figure something out." Gary said.
"Yeah, she did ask me if I wanted kids tonight." I said.
"Yeah I knew that was coming..." Lisa said.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"Well Gary and Britney are expecting a baby. Usually when one half of a set of twins does something big, life changing, the other one wants to do the same. Now if she wasn't in a relationship, committed relationship she wouldn't be thinking that way. Since she is, it's on her mind. Not saying she will want to get married and have children right away but it's on the forefront of her mind." Lisa explained.
"So if I propose and she accepts will it just be because she wants these things?" I asked.
"No Chris, that's not what Lisa is saying. One thing about Geneva is, she is clearly her own person but she and I have a connection like we do, we like to try and do things around the same time. She will accept your proposal when you ask because she loves you and wants to have a life with you, that's apparent when she looks at you. She will do whatever she wants when you both are ready. She wont force anything." Gary said and that put me at ease a little bit.
"I just want a life with her and I'm scared before I get the chance to ask her she is going to realize always being in the spotlight and always being noticed she is going to get tired of it and leave me." I voiced a concern.
"Chris, she loves you. She isn't going to leave you. Just think about another plan and we will all do what we need to if you need help." Gary said and I smiled.
"Thanks guys." I said and yawned.
"Go get some sleep Chris." Lisa said and I chuckled.
"Good night guys. Love ya Ma." I said and hung up. I walked back into the suite and then to the bedroom. I saw Geneva curled up in the bed and she was fast sleep and looked so peaceful. I took the ring box from my pocket and put it back in the secret compartment of my suitcase.
"Now to think of a plan B." I whispered as I put it away. I got undressed and easily got into bed. Geneva rolled over and placed her head on my chest even in her sleep she needed to be close to me. This was right and this would work out.
