[MANHATTAN, NEW YORK]

I woke up to the blaring sound of my alarm, stretching my arms above my head before stopping it. I heard a ding from my phone. I opened it to see a message from Peter, actually it was a few, most from last night after our patrol.

I got out of bed, and changed into my running clothes, thinking about the field trip that I chose not to go to because of the last field trip I went on. I felt safer being at home and hoped if anything happened Peter could handle it on his own. I was still ready to be called for backup since that always seemed to be his plan.

I went downstairs. It smelled amazing, the bacon and eggs. I got down to see it was Pepper cooking instead of dad who was usually the one who had to cook since she was usually always gone by this time.

   "Good morning, Pep."

"Morning, Sweetheart." She says as she turns to see me. "I told Tony to be quick."

"You knew dad was high maintenance even before he proposed." I inhale and sigh, satisfied and delighted by the savory smells. "God, your cooking always smells great."
I walked over to the fridge grabbing the containers of raspberries and mango slices, taking them back to the counter with me.
