"And I have to come, for why?" You asked Mk, placing your last piercing in your ear, giving him an odd look in the mirror you both shared. Currently, you two were getting ready to sneak out and go visit Wukong, Mk saying that it was rather urgent. You knew the message of urgency was meant for Mk only, but he insisted that Wukong would want to see you as well and pulled you out of bed.
Mk finished brushing his strands of hair out of his face and pulled his bandanna tight against his forehead, grabbing that singular piece and having it flop in front. "Just because! You've been sneaking off to go train on your own, so I figured if I pulled you along with me, you might show me what you've been training on! Plus I'm sure Monkie King wants to see you too, he considers you a close friend, you know?" Mk hummed, now pushing his way out of the bathroom with you hot on his tail, digging through his drawer for his jacket.
You sighed and shook your head, walking over to Mk's desk to look at your phone. "Great," You mumbled, leaning over the desk to grab a charger. "I forgot to plug it in last night." With a sigh you grabbed your car keys and walked over to Mk, who was currently checking his own phone. You grimaced at the cracked screen, though he seemed to find no problem with it, quickly pocketing the object and dragging you to the fire escape.
You both still drove down to the docks, but you had no need for Mk to use his staff to transport you to Flower Fruit Mountain, that was now your job. The only reason you drove to the docks was to tell Sandy where you both would be if anyone needed you two, and so you wouldn't have to travel through the shadow realm for a long period of time. You, however, found no difference from transporting from Mk's house to Flower Fruit Mountain rather than on the docks, both were long and both sucked.
Hugging Mk tightly, you both went under and closed your eyes tightly, only daring to open them when your feet thumped onto a familiar surface. With a sigh, you let Mk grab you by the hand and drag you through the cave and to where Wukongs shack rested. You were blinked awake at the odd sight in front of you, a suitcase with a few things laid in the center of the area, the monkey no where to be seen.
You looked around the area for a moment before your ears caught on the sound of someone digging. Looking towards the source of the sound, you watched as Wukong busted through his shacks door holding a pile of clothes, a different headpiece laying on top of it. You and Mk watched in silence as Wukong walked down the stairs and over to the suitcase, throwing his stuff onto it lazily.
Mk eventually cleared his throat after you both watched the sage jump on the pile of clothes, trying to shrink its size. "Oh hey, you guys made it!" Wukong greeted, waving to both of you. "Didn't expect you to drag Y/n here too but she's a welcomed visit. Anyways, my urgent news is that I'm going on vacation for a little while and I need you to protect the city while I'm on leave." Wukong explained, now sauntering over to a bush to dig through it.
You blinked once, twice, hell even thrice before you could finally process what the sage had spoke to the two of you. "What do you mean vacation?" Mk asked, pausing when his phone started to ring. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he spared little to no glance at the app that was being advertised, an annoyed look on his face as the add shouted at him.
Mk turned to the side and tossed his phone before quickly seating himself on the ground with crossed arms and a pouting face, you only sighing at his actions. "Awe, c'mon bud! I promised myself when I found a successor I'd go see some friends, take a tour of my old stomping grounds, just cut loose you know!?" Wukong shouted back to the pouting boy, tossing a few objects into his already high pile of stuff. "Ooh, gonna need these!" He pulled back, now sporting some red sunglasses, you chuckling lightly at how the sage looked.
