You woke up when you felt your phone vibrate on your chest, you blinking your eyes open lazily as you stared up at the ceiling, Mk snoring loudly besides you. You picked your phone up and turned the alarm off then checked the time. It was 6:01 in the morning, meaning you had training with Macaque at seven until eight. With a small huff, you carefully slid out of bed and pulled the sheets over Mk, hesitating for a moment before pressing a chaste kiss to his forehead, unaware of his slightly sturing in his sleep.

You swiftly went through your morning routine and snagged a small snack from Mk's drawers, writing a little note telling him where you went. After grabbing the spare house key and tying your shoes up, you cracked the window open and slipped into the night. Once the window was shut, you used a shadow portal to land yourself in your car without unlocking it, cheering silently at your victory.

The drive over to the dojo was boring and quiet, something you were actually thankful for this time around, at least you didn't have to deal with traffic. Pulling your car to the side, you grabbed the small bag you had in the back and kicked your way out of the car, double checking you had it locked. Once unlocking Macaque's dojo, you got to work turning on every light you could manage for when he came round. You had about ten minutes to kill, so you spent it by laying on the ground and closing your eyes.

Your nose flinched a little before you sneezed loudly at the tail that brushed across your face, opening your eyes you peaked up at Macaque's smirking face. "Taking a nap before class? Man, who taught you?" He teased, now offering his hand to you, one that you took gratefully. Once you were pulled up, Macaque used his tail to dust you off, walking around you before stopping right in front of you. "Are you ready to be small?" He asked you, you just quirking an eye brow up at this.

After doing your stretches and taking your shoes off, you ran up to Macaque on the mat as he sat there with a smiling face. "Alright, first things first, lets see how long you can be under." You groaned before stepping to the side, submerging yourself into the shadow realm. It was hard to breathe in there, it almost felt as if you were dunked into water and held there. The view to the outside world was warbled and darkened a little, you kicking and waving your arms around to keep yourself under.

Eventually, you just floated around in the shadow realm, no longer caring about looking out to Macaque, as all he was doing was staring down at his pocket watch. "Ok, come out now. It's been longer than fifteen minutes." You heard his voice boom through, though it was almost drowned out from the realm. Emerging in front of him, he a small grin on his face as he patted your shoulder. "Hey, you're getting better at going under! Soon enough, you might be able to travel around the world." You scoffed with a smile and rolled your eyes, letting your mentor pull you in and mess up your hair, a fit of giggles coming from you as your guys hearts started to slowly beat in sync.

Macaque pulled you off him and coughed into his fist, fighting the heat that threatened to show on his skin. "Alright, there's two things I want to teach you today, but you can only learn the second after you mastered the first." You nodded your head and watched as Macaque walked over to the side, pulling something out of thin air. "If you can shrink and regrow your size, I'll teach you how to use this." You eyes widen a little at the lantern in hand, the shape kind of looking like the small lamp Mk had in his room.
