Huffing, you placed the last bag into your dads passenger seat, securing what was supposed to be your spot to ride home in. Pigsy walked around the car and gave you one final squeeze before apologizing, saying that he'll talk to his landlord soon enough to get you settled in. You only rolled your eyes, cursing the landlord in question, he wouldn't let you just move in with Pigsy, even if you were his daughter. The landlord simply said that since you were over the age of 18, you were 22, you had to fill in some paperwork to live with Pigsy, even if it was just for a few months.
Grumbling incoherent words to yourself, you waved you father a farewell as he drove down the rather dark streets of Megapolis, guess those bright city lights didn't reach down here. Rubbing your arms, you turned around to find Mk staring at you blankly, holding the one bag you decided to keep behind. You and him just stared at each other for a moment before you rolled your eyes and gestured for him to show you to his apartment.
Mk was ecstatic and grabbed your wrist, pulling you inside the noodle shop and telling you to wait for just a second, he had to lock the doors. Once all doors were secure, he walked ahead of you, showing you to a hallway covered by a curtain. You pushed past the current and followed Mk up a flight of stairs before emerging at his front door. You held in a chuckle as you watched him fumble with his keys before successfully grabbing the right one and opening his apartment door.
Mk creaked the door open slightly, but paused after taking a quick glance around the front hall. He nervously chuckled and turned around, an embarrassed look on his face. "Sorry if it's a bit messy, I didn't expect to have a week long sleepover so suddenly." He apologized, though you could only roll your eyes and give him a reassuring smile. Mk stared at you for a little before returning the smile, now opening his door more confidently.
You don't know what kind of mess you were expecting, but this certainly was not it. The entry hallway was relatively small, the fridge took up most of the first few steps space, and once your both pushed past the fridge, the counter to your right was littered with messy bowls, even his sink was littered with dirty dishes. Taking a quick glance to your left, you saw a relatively small bathroom, the door open ajar, clothes and towels thrown everywhere.
You nearly tripped on one of the many books littering the floor, but caught yourself, Mk turning back to make sure you were ok. You gave him a small wave, signalling you were ok and continued to walk through the small hallway. The hallway ended with a skillet on your right, a pair of windows in front of you and an opening to your left. Turning your head over, you saw Mk already placing your bag down by a table with a bulletin board hanging above it.
The small area was clearly where Mk slept, as there was a bed hugging the wall tightly, a Tv shoved at the foot of his bed. Pushed nearly against the head of the bed was a desk, a dull orange swivel chair tucked into it, next to that was his dresser which was halfway open, clothes hanging out of it. With one more eye dance around the room, you noticed many Monkey King posters hanging up and some plant shrubbery either on high shelves or by windows. This made you smile.
The sound of Mk clearing his throat made you turn around to look at him, he was quickly picking up the messy clothes on the floor and trying to shove them under his bed, making it look as if those weren't there at all. "Welcome to my uh, humble abode! As you can see, not really made for two people but we can make it work!" Mk boasted at the end of his sentence, standing up straighter as he placed his hands on his hips. You could only giggled at his childness.
