Max, Chloe and Rachel are all together in the Pick-Up at a time when silence is the master, but Chloe breaks the silence by asking Rachel a question:

"We haven't finished the conversation we started before: why didn't you tell me you were seeing Frank?"

*Max speaks* "Chloe, this is not the time to talk about it."

"It is, because I want to know the truth and not be swamped with more lies, so now stay out of it, Max."

"You want to know why I didn't tell you about Frank? Because I knew that you would react in your usual spoiled-brat way, that believes everything is due to her and that by failing to overcome her father's grief, she blames others for her failures."

"You are cruel, Rachel."

"Did you want me to be honest? I was."

"Too bad you were just mean, not sincere. I want to know something else: were you seeing Jefferson?"

*Max speaks again* "Chloe..."

"SHUT UP!" Chloe yells

After a few seconds of silence, Rachel replies:

"How did you know?"

"You're not denying it then! Jesus Christ, you've practically been making fun of me all this time. I was one of the few people who always supported you, who stood by you when you were hurt because of Damon, who helped you find your mother and thank me like this?"

"You might as well have refused if you had to call me on all the favors you've done, plus I remember it's my life, and as you know, life is weird, so if I want to bang Frank, Jefferson, or even Blackwell, it's definitely not your problem."

"It becomes my problem, too, the second you promise me that we'll leave this town and betray my trust by filling me with lies.

*Max interrupts the discussion* "Now I'm tired of these discussions, you realize that in addition to worrying about Nathan, we also have to deal with a vampire. These arguments are only hurting us, and being immature little girls is not going to do us any good, and we're not going to get anything done."

"Now I'm the immature little girl? Not Rachel who lied to me about everything and is probably hiding something else."

"What the hell am I supposed to hide?! I've already told you everything I know and I'm tired of being treated like a manipulative liar. I'm sick of my best friend being so blinded by anger that she won't believe me..."

Rachel's anger is such that her stand materializes and not being able to have full control of it creates a gust of wind to overturn the Pick-Up. Rachel escapes unharmed and escapes to avoid recognition, while Max and Chloe are injured and still locked inside the vehicle.
