After the call, Max, Chloe, and David get back in the car, and both ask him how he gets a projector and a UV amplifier, with David responding:
"Do you think while you were in the hospital I would have stood around waiting for you? Of course not. I got the projector at Blackwell, and the guys in the theater group agreed that I would only take it if I returned it by Friday; as for the amplifier, a former military man had one with him and said he didn't need it anymore, and he brought it to me last night."
"We underestimated you; you are helping us more than we could have imagined."
"Chloe, have you wondered why I'm doing this despite the friction we've had over the years?"
"Honestly? Yes."
"Because I want that after going through hell and overcoming this bad experience you, Max and Rachel can finally live like normal teenagers with your own dreams and hopes. I can't say the same about me, as the war changed me for the worse, and I still carry those traumas like scars, and I know that helping you won't erase my mistakes with both of you, but at least it's a start."
"You made a beautiful speech David, I'm glad you finally opened up and manifested your emotions . Don't you think so Max? Yo Max."
"Oh, sorry Chloe."
"You're hella quiet, are you okay?"
"Could be better. I'm still shaken up from the call just now, plus hearing that Nathan was there made me realize that Rachel is there too."
"It makes sense since she wanted revenge on Nathan, however I feel like something is missing, like the missing piece of a puzzle that will connect everything."
"We won't find out the truth until tonight, so we'd better prepare everything we need for the decisive confrontation, hoping Rachel won't submit to Dio."
"In my heart I am sure that Rachel will make the right choice."
"I want to believe it too Chloe."
After this exchange silence falls, with all three reflecting on the events that will happen tonight: Max fears that if Rachel were to lose control of her power, she would risk unleashing the tornado she saw in his vision that would destroy Arcadia Bay; Chloe wants to make peace with Rachel and start all over again without ruining her relationship with her again; David, on the other hand, wants tonight's denouement to be a happy ending for everyone, with no one having to suffer or mourn a loved one ever again.
