After Rachel leaves the house in a rage, Chloe sits on the sofa sobbing and looking lost in the void, with Max and Joyce trying to be next to her to calm her down and support her.
"Mom, I need to talk to Max alone, could you go upstairs?"
"Chloe, are you sure?"
"Absolutely yes, I just want Max now."
As she leaves, Joyce asks Max to give her daughter all the support she needs and support her for what happened earlier.
"Max, I know you're thinking about what I'm thinking."
"About Rachel being manipulated into turning her against us?"
"That's right, and if I find out who did this to us, I'll empty all the mag on him."
"Chloe, I'm begging you, I know you're furious about what happened, and I am angry, too, but let's be careful about it and look for all the necessary information and then act accordingly."
"Fuck if I'm careful, Rachel literally blamed me for not looking for her, she just attacked you because you put the step-douche back in his place, I want to get to the bottom of this."
"Chloe, I need to talk to you about something first, and then after that, we're gonna go find the clues we need to put the pieces back together."
"Okay, Max, I'm listening."
"When I defended Rachel from David, I did it using my power, because the argument between them had degenerated to such an extent that Rachel broke his nose, and so I intervened so that the situation did not get exasperated, But once again, I screwed up and ended up doing worse."
"You didn't fuck anything up, you just acted like Max trying to do the right thing. Now I want to know why Rachel punched him, because she must have pissed her off so badly to make her react like that."
"He said that Rachel was hooking up with Frank, and that on her way out, he was deciding whether to go to him or to Jefferson so he wouldn't take David's third degree."
"Well, I would have been furious, too, if they were telling me such falsehoods."
"He said he had evidence on his PC, at this point since David is upstairs it's worth looking for this evidence together to see if he's telling the truth or not."
Max and Chloe go to the garage to check David's computer (after finding the password of his PC), and find the various tails made by David against Rachel and Kate and also on the hours of Max and his lessons.
"Absurd, David as usual manages to surprise me in negative, and as for Rachel I'm sure she was pretending to be with Frank to get the drugs, I can't believe she fell in love with him."
"At this point Chloe should go and look in Frank's camper, since if you don't believe we will go to the source of the problem."
"All right, but I'm sure we won't find anything".
Max and Chloe arrive at Two Whales where Frank's RV is parked, but there is no shadow of him inside the diner, and it is at that point that they hear his voice coming from inside the camper, and then knock on the door.
